So, SCG. I'm in my last term of school. I will have my degree in transcription in MARCH. This means looking for a new job. I'm in a bit of a pickle, because most employers want you to have experience, but how does one get experience if you can't get hired? You dig?
I'm thinking my best chances are to get into a MTSO (medical transcription service organization), or try to get overflow work through a temp service. I want ANY experience I can get so I can get into a position where I can work from home for several years.
I want to quit my current job so I can just focus on school, and prepare for the RMT exam. It would be great to get credentials right out of school, but I don't know if thats going to happen.
... Any of you happen to have or know someone who has a medical practice in need of a transcriptionst? I promise I don't suck. In fact, I'm pretty good at what I do. I would even be willing to work per diem until I prove my worthiness. =D
Wouldn't that be a twist of fate. razz
I think I'm gonna talk to some people at my church... Maybe I can transcribe the sermons. ... ?

I wish I could help Fewk. D: If I manage to come across something, I'll let you know. Although, I should let you know that I do live in Vermont.
