What would this be used for? This sub-forum would be used to examine and evaluate other members profiles throughout the guild. Why is this important? Because with every one having their profiles check can prevent future problems of god-modding, or any other type of problem that would concern profiles. Who would this work? Simple, we get some people that would like to be judges, captains and espada leaders or what ever. Then the vizards check vizards profiles, espada check the espada profile and shinigami check the shinigami profiles. If the profile passes the examination it will be marked as approved and the judge will move on to the next one. With it being so lat ein the guilds life to create this, when people start posting their profiels in this sud-forum there will be a s**t-TON of profiles to judge. So it could/would/should, take a long time to actually finish them so i don't really expect them to be done right off the bat, be i think it would be ok if a judge examine about 1 profile a day. If they have the time that is. with 13 captains that like 13 profiles a day. Hopefully it could work. So yeah, I guess this idea is ok to vote on. So lets get to voting. Place your vote below stating rather or not you agree with this idea.

i have to vote no for these reasons: 1) we don't have 13 captains yet. we have 11. 2) if we were to check everyones profile, even if only one a day, that means we would heave to work through all 81 profiles it would take about 8 days to do. thats not including new requests comming in. 3) it takes away freedom of choice. if we notice in the spars and in the Role plays that we do that they are doing, if anyone has a godmod ability, we will tell them. i know personally, i read all spars and have not found anyone with a godmodding ability yet.

I'll have to agree with Athena on this one. It doesn't seem like a good idea as of yet. Once all captain spots are filled and everything has been figured out then it is a good idea.

Ok, well we dont have 11 captains ok. Thats no problem we will just use the number that we have until all the captain slots are filled. As for your second reason. It's not surpose to be an instant thing. It's progressive. I guess thats the word you could use. It not like you were it done RIGHT NOW. It jsut gets done when your done, that way in the end you took your time and checked their profile thoughly and make sure every thing is in order. Im the other guild i am in we use this same concept. It has been in place for a month or two now and we are still not done, due to the fact we dont rush it, and we have WAY more than 81 members. PLUS we have 8 espada as well in this guild They can check profiles too. So 11 captains plus 8 espada that equals 17 people. Yay so by your logic we have more than 13 people to judge and would take less than 81 days right? Now on to the last thing, it's NOT restricting their creativity. It making sure that they play fair. Its not like your going to go in and edit the profile the way you want it to be. You go in and make sure none of their abilities are god-mod. Like if you see an ability that says something like, If bob stabs Joe once ince explodes inside of Joe's body killing him instantly.. That would be a god mod like crazy and those would be the abilities you would be looking for so you can help Bob know you can't use those type of abilities. Why? because thye are a god mod and you would HELP him think of a new ability to replace it with. Again i say, it's not like we are going to go in and recreate 81 different profiles. Simply grad them on if they would be fair to spar against. Understand?
~edit~ Not only that you will be looking to help making profiles more detailed. So every one can understand them. Other than just the person that created it. No body can read anyones mind. So if bob says his ability does this but doesn't right it out full, Joe would be one confused dude wouldn't he?

with your first arument, you forget that we captains, and espada, are real people who have lives, other than gaia. i don't know all of them or they're ages, but some are still in high school, or have jobs in the real world, myself the only reason i'm on right now is because my college has started classes yet, and i only work weekends. we are also in other guilds, other than this one. heck i basically run, 2 bleach based guilds myself. i don't have the time to sit here reading through someone elses Role playing profile, when i know my own needs work.

Which is why i say its a PROGRESSIVE thing. It's not meant to be done all at once. It like now, maybe you bee on gaia for an hour. 10 mins of that could have been used to look at soemone's profiles. Write down your thoughts about it, and offer suggestiosn on how the person should fix it. It's not an all day thing. It isn't meant to be, which is why i used the word PROGRESSIVE. It slowly develops into a finished project. Which the whole, "I have a life" argument, thats ok. We aren't going to force them on just to grade profiles all day like they some some teacher. The profile grading would be something that you could be doing instead of sitting there refreshing myspace 100 times hoping your going to get a new message, but deep in the back of your mind you know your not going to get a new one.

After reading this i vote
YES
For these reason's
#~ It is good for the construction of profiles upon the guild #~ Itl give the captains something to do #~ It will increase the.......Popularity of the sparring contests, Mainly because they will all have complete profiles and can spar each other more efficiently #~ Kin knows what hes doing on this, And i trust his judgement. #~ You dont need to get it done in like 1 hour, On another guild it took almost 1 week untill mine was competed, And now ite perfect.

((At the apple store and still somewhat absent from the guild))
After reading all your posts upon this idea, I am afraid I am going to have to vote "No" on this system.
HOWEVER......That does not mean I find this idea to be an inefficient one, but more accurately it is a system that is already in use within The Gotei Elite. This is exactly what most of you, who are part of GE, have overlooked this entire time. Especially you, Gochi... Sorry to say but that's the fact here. Among all others, I would not have expected you, a member of the GE family, to have taken this idea from the guild and transfer it to this one. Furthermore, if it WAS permitted by the council of The Gotei Elite, we would have received word of it from any one of the council members themselves. Mainly I would have received word of it since I closely work with the council, despite my retirement there.
All in all, Gochi, it is true what you've pointed out though. The system itself is proven to operate efficiently and helps progress the guild mainly in the ability limitation factor (or in other words, helps prevent any and all future godmodding issues at an enormous rate). And yes, as complex and difficult as it may seem, complaints about this system is highly inexcusable. In fact, making an excuse NOT to approve of this idea only shows that there are some of you that don't wish to TRULY put effort into your jobs. As I've pointed out almost COUNTLESS times, being a captain is not a simple duty. And some of you should already know that by now since the day you became captain. It was for that VERY reason why a Council Declaration Law was made.
Again, a captain is not just a title. It is a RESPONSIBILITY and one that should NEVER be taken lightly. If you had or still have real life matters that you find more important to attend to, then by all means, attend to them. If you can't find the time to work on here then you're free not to. We won't hold it against you. However...you should have thought twice before you applied for captain position because unlike most of the other ranks, captain position is not an easy rank to maintain. And if you want to continue proving that you are qualified as a RELIABLE captain, then it is expected that you work just as hard as you did when you were striving for the captain position.
This of course now brings me to the subject involving some of you that have recently been promoted as captains. Personally, I wasn't surprised, yet disappointed that new captains were immediately chosen while in my absence and not able to provide more accurate input. And as expected, the choices were not made wisely. Sorry to say that so bluntly but it's true. It's clear the promotions were given without examining members thoroughly and DILIGENTLY. Now I'm not immediately judging that those of you, who are new to this council, are not qualified for this. But more leniently yet strictly put, it SHOULD have been best that you could have worked much longer for the position in order to TRULY prove that you are 150% qualified for captain position.
But that's merely my personal perspective and unfortunately, I cannot change what the council of this guild has already done. The council's choice was already made and I must abide by the council law. All I can really do is hope that those of you, who are new here in this council, will think twice and more thoroughly as a captain rather than just a simple member because what we do here is 10x more work than you would expect. And since you are now captains, you'd best adjust to the work we do here. Otherwise, if you have real life matters that are more important, we won't stop you or hold it against you. But it will only prove that the council did not choose RELIABLE hard working captains. And by making excuses, such as "we can't do this and that", against systems that are presented, you are only insulting the Council Law that you should have most LIKELY made your oath to before becoming captain. Again, to be a little more kindly lenient about this, I'm not saying systems and ideas should not be thoroughly discussed and examined, which of course most of you are doing and that's always encouraged of you. But the excuses some of you have made against this idea is entirely different and contradicts what we captains do via work for everyday to help this guild run efficiently. It's like saying you're too lazy to do work like you were MEANT to do as a captain. What was the point of your vow then? You know what I mean?
But I digress... The main topic here is about the current system that Gochi has presented here. And as I pointed out before, it is VERY efficient and helps prevent any and all future possible godmodding almost completely and constantly. In fact, it has already been proven that it works extremely well. HOWEVER, as I also pointed out, this system is already within The Gotei Elite. And Gochi, if you really wanted to use this system, you should have known better to consult with the council of GE first. As such, I am afraid I cannot vote "Yes" upon this system. However, I will speak with one of the council members of GE myself and see if they will further permit you to bring this system to this guild. And that's IF THIS council approves of it as well. Till then, again, my vote is "No" That is all. *Bows to the council*

Just to add a small interjection.. There are a lot of sites that have Approval Systems similar to what the G.E. has. I've been in countless RPGs on forumotion and proboard sites and I can positively say that each one of them had Moderators and Admins approve people's characters. And no one had to ask another site for permission to utilize that. I'm sure there are also many different guilds here on Gaia that use Approvers for profiles.
It's a pretty universal practice to ensure that no one god-mods their characters and it's fair for everyone.
But to be cautionary, it would be smart to ask the GE to prevent any mishaps or misunderstandings. Though, I'm sure they would agree that Approvals would benefit any sort of RP site to prevent god-moding and such.

(( Part of my Message to Zalian )) iSiel In actuality the RCP Approval System is something that MANY Guilds already do, so there is no way that we can effectively claim copyright or intellectual property over it. I thought it up and created it WAY before I ever found out that other Guilds were already doing it, but anyways - they can freely make their RCP Approval System however they like. All we can do is request that they post a small note saying that the Gotei Elite did it first (before them) and that is where they got the idea from (if that is the case). It'd also be nice if they mentioned me =x
Thats all we can do. They can construct their RCP Approval System however they like otherwise :/... [In the above quote - "they" equals you guys xD.]
[Bleh, well anyways, its like I said. You may construct an RCP Approval System however you like, but we at the G.E. would just like it if, --if the case is that you got the idea from us (or any part of it, like how our one works, etc)-- that you just add a little note saying so =x.](( Please PM me if you need me to check this thread again - I usually don't - so please PM me to gain my attention sweatdrop )) - Siel Guild Leader of the Gotei Elite

Well.
I think that basically settles this voting session.
I shall create the Rcp thread, And i shall attach Siel's note into it, so no-one can ever claim copyright.
~{ Note: Each captains Rcp will have to be posted in there and assessed by myself and two other captains ~ Whom i am currently choosing }~
