"I am lending you a book worth more than five hundred thousand dollars on Earth," said Edward. "In return for this, you are to sign a contract with me that will allow me to study you and your demon at my leisure until the contract is terminated."

He slid a piece of parchment towards Irving; examination would reveal that it was a notarized, legal document that said the signee would have to do exactly has Edward had said. Give the staff at Daemonolgie free reign to observe the relationship between summoner and demon, and report the specifics.

"Well?"

Irving had no particular interest in the tome, or this shop. Something pulled him however so he picked up a pen and red the fine print carefully. "I agree."he sighed, signing the paper in a fluid and swift signature. He had signed away part of his privacy but in exchange for a valuable treasure to which he may- or may not- make valuable use of.

Carefully touching the book he looked at the bind and cover for any print and as it laid on the counter bare he only nodded. "Hopefully such a demon may exist." he warranted skeptically.

Edward added his name to the parchment, demonstrating much more fluidity than Irving had with the heavy quill pen. There weren't quite so many splotches in his name--actually, none at all. He was familiar with the instrument, then.

The parchment was tucked away, and then he opened the book with a loud pfff of dust and... other things. There was a heavy smell of sulfur and the tang of metal--Hae-min coughed. "Here. The Hunter, who seeks out souls for the worthy."

He held out the book, carefully, reverently.

Irving nodded and without much of a noise took the book and his cup quietly from their separate places and left the shop behind at a slow pace. "I imagine this shop will find me again when I have news."Irving commented as the door swung shut behind him. His figure vanished into the streets and quickly he stored the book within a bag around his shoulder and slowly crossed town back to his home.

The sun was high by the time he reached his house and reluctantly his mind employed various questions and theories as to how this summoning was to take place, but for now it would have to wait.

Irving had more important matters to tend to.
