So, I found a CD today when I was out with my mother and it's a CD I've been looking for... "The Fame Monster [DELUXE]" 2 CD edition. I found it at Best Buy, $20.99 with tax. Then I went online and saw the same CD for $17.43 with shipping and tax from amazon. I could save $3 if I just buy it online and have it shipped... but... do I want to wait? Also, there is a rumor about the Deluxe version online being censored on Amazon.... and no such claim has been made for the deluxe version at Best Buy. Should I take the risk? Or should I open this CD? Don't know!

Buy the Best Buy cd, but first ask the employees if they censor content, or ask them to get you someone who does know.

That's even better. And call Amazon as well if you can, to confirm whether or not they do censor certain cds.
You should also consider looking for at least one or two other stores in your area that may sell the same cd and compare prices, or find a website that does that for your local are (if you know one)

I think that the problem with Amazon is that they don't know what they're buying half of the time. I've gotten bootlegs off of that site before on rare CDs and Amazon.com doesn't know the difference...Only the viewers. All of the people who bought from the website commented on how it was the censored version and wasn't listed properly so Amazon probably doesn't censor CDs but they don't know what they're buying sort of thing.

Considering that, I'd say that the best route is to buy from a store rather online. However, if Best Buy does sell them censored, and you can't find any other store, then you'll have to take a gamble and try for the Amazon cd.
Another good suggestion is finding a Q&A forum that specialize in cds, dvds, and other media and ask someone there for their suggestions.
