1. A recycled thread is a thread you use over and over again for when you are glowing. People use to make a thread everytime they were glowing which was hella annoying if your feed settings allowed you to see their threads. Now people make a thread where their tank is under the first post and link it in their sig asking for bumps when it glows.
Ideally people will bump your thread when they see you glow thus bringing your thread up to the top of the forum so that people just looking around notice you are currently glowing. These threads work because really the only way to bootygrab is to go through high trigger tank lists/threads or stalk the first page for 'currently glowing' tanks.
2. You get onto the first page by being one of the first people a user invites to a thread. It depends on whats in your tank and how often they see your tank elsewhere to invite it. Invites work by users PMing you asking you to post in their thread.
3. If the first post states anything about invite only, don't post. Basically if a thread says open and clearly states you can post then you can.
People PM you asking you to post in their thread, that is an invite. You get invites by posting around basically. I have a thread I bump stating what my tank is, yours would be Full Mini Monsters, and that I am looking for invites. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Also, I heard mention that I might not be able to see when my own tank is glowing? Is that true, and how would I compensate for that?Thats right, you can't see your own tank glow. There are like 3 ways to tell when it is.
1) Gold count goes up - This way won't be effective until you have gotten your tank out there. I notice my gold go up a few K since my last click and I can assume I am glowing.
TO VERIFY THAT ^ :
2) Watch your tank on a mule. Be on a mule account and when you see your tank is glowing, bump your thread.
3)

This link USE to be able to tell you exactly when your tank will glow, how many fish will glow and, if your fish give hermit cats or pinkboxes, if the fish was going to drop one. Now it can't tell you when you are going to glow but it can still tell you when you are glowing and how many fish are glowing.
