Jair laughed again. "Yes, but you just need to add a qualifier so that they know what the heck you're talking about."
Celebrindor tilted his head at the two of them. "So you're from Gaia?" he asked. "Where my grandfather's sister lives now?"
Jair nodded, but before he could speak further, Elia appeared in the doorway. She was quite tall, taller than either of the boys anyways, and her thick black hair tumbled in loose curls just past her shoulders. She looked very much like her mother, but her eyes were like her father's.
"Hello!" she beamed at everyone. "Welcome to our home! You're Jair and Naida, right?" She giggled softly. "Mama said you would be coming sometime, but she didn't say when."
"Then how did you know they were here?" Egleriad asked her.
She laughed. "I could hear all of you. I was practicing in the music room and I could hear all of you, so I came to see."

Naida nodded happily, "That's right!"
Then she paused for a moment realizing that Elia said something that didn't quite make sense to her. She tilted her head and questioned.
"You knew we were coming?"

Elia blinked at Lin, then nodded. "Well ... yes ... Mama knows things before they happen. She's a Seer, like Grandmama is."
"So is Amora," Celebrindor pointed out. "And just as strong, too."
Elia nodded. "So we usually know things before they happen," she explained to Naida. "Sometimes not always, but usually."

Naida blinked for a moment before it dawned on her, of course it made perfect sense! They were seers!
"Oh...." she murmured, "I see now."
Of course one should have remembered except it was hard to tell if Naida had realized that these were Lothiriel's children.

"I can't do it, though," Egleriad said sadly.
"Neither can I," Celebrindor pointed out, "and even Elia only can a little bit. But it's a rare gift, the fact that there are already so many in our family who are seers is a miracle in itself."
"Besides," Elia said patiently, "that probably means you've got more of your father's gifts instead of your mother's."
Jair tilted his head slightly. "What are your father's gifts?" he asked Egleriad curiously.
Egleriad blinked at Jair. "Well, when he gets hurt, he heals up right away," he murmured thoughtfully, "but he can't heal other people ... and he's very good with talking with other people ..."

"Very good at talking with people? That sounds interesting...."
Though it was hard to imagine it a gift, but she supposed in a way to be able to talk to people was a gift in itself. Not that she fully understood it, she understood the self healing part that had to be very useful.

"Well, he has to be," Egleriad explained patiently. "See, he has to talk with all kinds of people, and they're the kind of people that if you make them angry, they can cause all kinds of trouble."
"Not that they ever do," Celebrindor pointed out, "but they can."
Egleriad nodded. "So he's very good at making sure they don't get angry."

Naida nodded at that, it made very good sense to make sure that people didn't get angry. Though it seemed mean to want to cause trouble.
"Oh... I see...." Naida murmured.
