Cartwright I like a good storyline, it's a very important part of making the guild fun for everyone, even thoses that can't be in title matches or contenderships due to the spots being filled. Even title matches should have storylines to give them a bit of spice to them. Usually a storyline involves a few promos over a few shows between the two feuding members. Then a match should take place to either end or extend the feud. I suggest a storyline should last the minimum of two months, just so that the most basic storyline can be set-up, sorted and ended quickly should it be only a quick feud. There's no maximum limit.

Ah, and while I think about it now, if you are the only one pulling your weight in a feud i.e. suggesting all the ideas etc. it may be worth a quick end so that you can find somebody else to feud with who has more interest in the storyline and character. The same can be said for if your opponenet goes inactive. You don't want to waste that creative energy on someone who doesn't care.

Personally I try to have multiple storylines with people. Just in case you know. I would've loved to have feuds with people but they go in-active, so I keep up back up feuds or side ones.

Which does work for you Chron as you can keep-up with them all! But for a newbie I'd say keep small with one, maybe two at the most as you get used to it!
