Well it might be that someone with a low self esteem is seeking for acceptance and love from other people using their sexuality, since it's the easiest way. Or could it just be that that person has less sexual inhibitions than the average Janes? Maybe they need more?

KIIINDA.
I know this girl, HUGE SLUT, def low self esteem.
She just sleeps with alot of guys cause it makes her feel...idk loved I guess. She often bounces between guys and was dating 2 of them at the same time. l:
hella ******** up.

I don't see how any one could want to sleep around because their self esteem is low. My self esteem is awful and it makes me want to do the exact opposite.

It depends on what you mean by 'excuse'.
A 'reason' for being a slut might be low self-esteem.
However low self esteem does not mean you're not responsible for your actions.
