Alright. I am sick and tired of being asked if I'm a vegetarian when I say I'm prolife.
Next person who says that is getting asked if he or she is an anarchist.
In the abortion debate, we use the terms pro-choice and pro-life. They don't stand for all choices and all lives. Well, they do for some people, but a rare few. For example, using the same reasoning that calls us hypocrites for eating meat if we do, "Do you support legal rape? You don't? Well that's not very pro-choice, is it? You're taking all the choices away from rapists!" Please. We're beyond that. Pro-life in this debate means you value the life of the child over the choice of the mother. Pro-choice means you value the choice of the woman over the life of the fetus.
Either the life applies to all life AND the choice applies to all choice, or they take on specific meanings. It is a double standard to say that life applies to all life but choice only applies to one choice.

Pyrotechnic Oracle You'll forgive me, but I don't under stand. What exactly are they doign thats a double standard? Can you please expand. they are holding us accountable to be pro-life about everything. Animal's lives, mother's lives, the lives of the child after it is born.

"If you aren't against the death penalty, war, eating animals, wearing fur, and stepping on ants, you aren't prolife since those are all lives. It's okay for me to be prochoice and against rape, theft, and child abuse though, even though those are choices too."

see for me I dictate the differences this way. My one friend Elfy is what I call 100% pro-life. Not only does she think all children should be born from a healthy consensual mother, rape victims should give birth, a mother should give her life for her child in birth, and even if the child will die a minute after being born it should still be born. She's also anti-death penalty and anti-war. Santicty of human life.
Me: I call myself 100% pro-choice. Not for rape and abuse and I'll explain that. I thinks all choices in a pregnancy/birth should be available (at least until artificial wombs are made... then I'm using them even for the children I do keep), I think suicide should be legal and that those that try to commit it are not locked in a loony bin, I think if a patient and a doctor talk it out there can be doctor assisted suicides, people should be able to tell someone they will not publish their work and not end up being called a discrimarotory b*****d, and I think pharmacists (as long as the script is returned) have every right to deny a prescription.
Oh and I think if a person is in need of food or medicine that they cannot obtain they can steal the item (I never would have sent Jean Valjean to a chain gang).

I'll tell ya what double standard makes me want to do the choke hold on someone:
"You can't tell me what to do with my uterus, because you're a man."
I'm not telling you what to do with your uterus, dear. You're not special. You just CAN'T kill a human because you don't have the right to do such.
I hate when they say "Pro-lifers only want to restrict our ability to have sex" when they don't know which ones of us have had sex, and all that stuff.
Seriously, I'm so ******** sick of these generalizations. The Anti-pro life guild (pro-choice guild) is full of them.

I personally love it when I'm told that if I'm pro-life I have to be completely pro-life otherwise I'm a hypocrite. Like when I say there should be exemption for rape cases or life endangerment. Yet there are many pro-choicers who believe that abortion should be restricted after a certain period and a girl needs parental consent. Its our views that are most important not what name they go by.

I've actualy come to a revalation about rape abortions. I no longer feel that a pregnancy through rape is justafiable for an abortion. Its still a human being. And yes, it was placed there by a violent act. Many peopel call a child concieved through rape an abomonation. But what right do they have to say such? What room? Aside form being concieved of rape, how is that child diffrent than any other pre-born baby? Its not.
The woman was raped, that sad, I hope they catch the guy and castrate him. But how does rape give a woman the right to kill another human being? It dosn't. As well, why shoudl that child be deprived of life? WHy should that child also suffer for what happened to its mother. Would it not be more noble to carrey it and give it a life? WOudl it not be more noble and greater to atempt to turn somthign horrible into somthing beautiful?
