when do you think is the correct time to buy an item. The reason i ask is because in the marketplace i was planning on buying this angelic wind. I waited for the price to go down, the sail prices didn't move i waited a little longer nothing still happened. When i finally bought the item a few days later the price went down. I'm really trying to avoid this situation again

It will be different for every item. Check the MP graphs to see the trends of its prices.
At the start of this month the price was 100k. Right now its 80k. Looks pretty good to buy now. Yes the price may continue to fall but that is the Vendor's Way.

This has happened to everyone. If you're planning to keep an item long term, these short term fluctuations don't mean anything - all that matters is what you can sell it for when you're ready to sell it. The rest is just imaginary profit or loss. It doesn't really exist.
If you were planning to turn a short term profit on it, well, looks like you may have to wait longer. (Prices on a lot of RIG items are down right now because of the end of the year RIG of RIGs.) Any buying and selling involves a certain amount of risk, and sometimes we all get caught in these bobbles. When someone is starting to get into vending, I always suggest looking at items in the price range of 1/10th to 1/20th of your total working capital, so if you do get stuck with an item for longer than expected, you haven't tied up all your funds waiting it out.

I'm nervous about the right time to buy and sell, too.
I only know the very outskirts of them - ie : don't buy when an item is brand new and don't sell when it has been readily available for weeks.
