I don't wanna stay it, I really dont, but I'm really starting to lose my faith in sasusaku.
clearly through small bits, and sai's speech, we know sakura still loves sasuke. But does sasuke even care about sakura anymore.
he clearly has no intentions of coming back, no affection for kohanna ( not to mention that slut karin) and worst of all... chapter 308 and 309
the reunion
And yes i saw the theory where when he charges at saukra with his word it wouldn't have hit her
but in 309 when orochimaru stops him from using "that" jutsu, im pretty sure that he was gonna use kirin
... and that would have killed naruto, sai, yamoto, and sakura.
So what do you think
does sasuke still care?

It's difficult to say.
From recent events I feel like saying he didn't care at all. That Kishimoto truly intended to ruin a good character. But there are still some points in the manga that make you question whether he really would've killed them that day. Which keeps me from saying 100% he would've killed them.
I really don't know..

Back to 308-309, I think he still cared then. I'm saying this because of this page right here: Chapter 414, page 16.  He unleashed a new power because of his current team AND team 7. He thought about them- which from my perspective shows that he does care. But you're right, how things are going now... it's hard to say. I think in the interview recently(Jump Festa 2010), Kishi said he plans on making him more and more evil(?). He also said that this fight with Danzo will decide what road Sasuke takes. Everything is still ambiguous. Throughout the manga, we know that Sakura loves Sasuke. But little is known about Sasuke's feelings towards Sakura. We saw in part one that he cared and accepted her as a close friend and teammate. However, all he said was a word of thanks when he left. That thank you is very ambiguous- and it could be the closest thing we have of Sasuke's feelings towards Sakura. Kishi has made it obvious that Sakura truly loves Sasuke, but he never showed us how Sasuke feels about Sakura-the only thing we know is that he cared. Anyways, we're not entirely sure if Sasuke still cares or not. The killing of his brother probably pained him the most. All this time of wanting revenge he ended up realizing that his brother was not a bad person and his actions were to protect Sasuke. Sasuke loved Itachi. Itachi loved Sasuke. Of course this would dramatically impact Sasuke. Like Sakura said, "Revenge won't make anyone happy. Not you, not me."(Chapter 181) This is the result of his revenge. A path of evil and darkness. I hope their reunion is soon. I'm hoping that both Kakashi and Sakura will meet up with Sasuke. After all, Kishi also mentioned that it will be Kakashi and Sakura's year ^^. Sakura's development and something big happening to Kakashi O.o. Don't lose faith yet, keep reading because as I said, everything right now is still very much ambiguous. Besides... isn't the whole story suppose to be on bonds? If Kishi kills off Naruto, Sasuke or Sakura...(maybe Kakashi) it would go against that idea. and wtf is saukra wearing, she never wore that shirt in part 1....
Im thinking that kakashi will become hokage, because of what was said in the mange, it being his big year, and how kishi hinted that naruto may not be hokage.
And hopefully sakura's big moment will be saving sasuke
I really wish he would ******** at least show a panel of her chasing him, its been forever since we seen her and i want to know her true intentions, spoken from her lips.
And I'll have to read that essay

So, thanks to that post, I have a new theory.
At this point, Sakura seems to be playing everyone. She played Naruto, and for all we know, she's playing her team too. What if she's making them think she plans on killing him, but she's actually going to do exactly what Naruto was going to do?
But then why wouldn't she tell Naruto that...
Well, I don't know. All I know is what was the point of making Sakura still love Sasuke and Hinata still love Naruto if nothing was ever going to happen? True, the Sakura going to kill Sasuke thing is important to the story line, but c'mon Kishi, some shojo-fan love?

I am a very Loyal Sasusaku fan, and I have a whole group of SasuNaru fans(EWW SORRY) who doubt it. Everytime I start thinking NaruSaku will happen, I just think of all the little hints.
I tried to use this argument on a bunch of SasuNaru/NaruSaku fans, and it didn't work.
I am an author, and an artist. I know that when I draw or write, I toss things in for a reason.
For instance, Kishi tossed in Hinata, a character who is obsessed with Naruto, and Naruto is so...well...ignorent about it? Why would he do that? Some say so that Naruto can feel like someone cares about him. YAH, IDK. I know a lot of people who love and care about Naruto now, and that would make Hinata pointless, now wouldn't it?
So if you agree with what I am saying, than that would mean that the chances of Naruto and Hinata ending up, are high.
Which leaves our doubtful, adoring Sakura and Sasuke (even though Sasuke isnt that adoring right about now stare )
SO NOW (After lollygagging on that stupid example, sorry for taking so long to get to the point) When ever I start doubting sasusaku, I think of this:
Kishimoto is not going to draw/write something that does not belong. He is an expert.
Now, I will admit that Naruto is not the type of story that you have lovers holding each other in deep embrace, expressing thier deepest love for each other. No. Sorry, but it's not, no matter how much us fans want it to happen.
However!
Kishimoto has put a lot of things that make you question that.
There are a lot of Sasusaku moments, that are just too....well...flirty? for the series, so that tells me that he is planning Sakura to end up with someone, and maybe even Naruto. [Besides, he can't make Sakura into a romantic character, and than have her end up with no one, SO WE KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN.....]
So basically....long post short...Because of the moments that were put in the series, with Sasuke and Sakura, I believe those were hints. Kishi didn't draw them on accident. Every facial expression, joke, smile, thought and word, was perfectly on purpose.
That is basically what I think.
I know, you are all probably like, "JEEZ, WHY DON'T YOU WRITE A BOOK, AKEIONI."

The reason why she lied and "confessed" to Naruto was because she was worried about his well-being. We know now that Sakura knows that Naruto loves her and he would go as far as risking his life to save Sasuke for her. She's angry that he's stubborn about this and she was hoping that her "confession" would lessen the burden that Sakura thinks he's carrying(geez Sai, shuddap already Dx I want my SasuSaku reunion with NO interruptions). We're not quite sure if she's playing everyone. In the end Naruto did find out and Kakashi and Yamato did suspect something was wrong. To be honest, it's because of Naruto that she's so determined to go after Sasuke now. If Naruto were to come back to Konoha with Sakura then maybe none of this would've happened. Well, I agree. I doubt that Sakura would kill Sasuke. Maybe fight, tears(Sakura), and some kind of conversation between them will ensue. If they do meet up, hopefully Sasuke will tell her his whole back story. Maybe then, will Sakura have second thoughts about his betrayal and his current situation- and instead help him instead of going against him. Also remember the last time we thought that Sakura would meet up with Sasuke but followed Karin's scent instead... Kishi might play another trick like that again. Maybe our notions are a bit too cliché? Kishi surprises us everytime you know... and it's always a turnaround of what we usually think >_<; We don't know this time if the Sasuke-Sakura reunion is going to be inevitable or not, at least not yet. He is an expert writer, I would think that he knows what he's doing. I doubt he wants to use anything too cliché as we've seen so far. Sasuke = Protagonist part 1 -> Antagonist part 2 and he isn't even under any control or spell. Sasuke chose this path with his own heart. Sakura's "confession" to Naruto. Naruto fainting O_o (Seriously wtf?) Hinata's confession. Itachi's loyalty to Konoha. Kakashi becoming hokage. ...ect...

We all know that Sakura has feelings for Sasuke, but we've yet to uncover some hidden, possible feelings for Sakura. But I don't think that will happen until Sasuke starts to lighten up, or something big happens with Sakura. I know that Sakura could never kill, or even lay her dainty little finger on Sasuke without dying, but I kind of hope she finds him, and challenges him to a fight. I have a feeling that Sasuke wouldn't fight her at all, and that would provide us with SOME sasusaku vibes from Sasuke. Just maybe. It might even awake any old feelings he might have for her. WHY COULDNT I HAVE WRITTEN NARUTO!?!? Lol.
