OK, as much as this is drawn/ posted on photobucket, I actually drew this myself. I decided to try kissing for the first time...Kagome's head is tilted but Inuyasha's is still straight...Please don't critisize the neck down or shading...I was just trying the kissing thing >.< Sorry for not resizing it...

ok, I don't know about anyone else, but to me it looks like Inuyasha is sorta either being eaten at by Kagome, or he's trying to bite Kagome... Looks nice to me though. **Honestly, I don't looks up kissing pictures all the time, so I'm no expert**

I know you said "don't criticize the neck down," but when it comes to kissing, or any kind of romantic interaction between two characters, every body part counts.

Kissing is a bit of a play between a couple. Initially, one has to give the kiss, the other receives it. This obviously varies, depending on how forceful or passive the individuals are, but it's very hard for both characters to kiss each other at the same time without looking awkward. After this first step, the couple can move on to a more balanced give/receive kiss.

In light of what I just said, the person giving the kiss here is Kagome, since her head is turned for the occasion. Inuyasha here looks like he's in a moment of surprise, his face still looking straight on. Therefore, Kagome should have her body tilted more forward toward Inuyasha, or at least from her neck.

Lips are fleshy, soft things. Kagome and Inuyasha here have really angular lips, which kind of makes it seem like they're eating each other, as killer sand cat said. Soften their lips more by rounding them out.

Think of drawing a couple as an entire being, not two separate characters together. It helps give them a sense of intimacy, unless you want the couple to be distant from each other. Look up pictures of couples if you need references!
