My old high school is doing Seussical. And I am not even going for emotional support of my friends. Hell, I have a friend whose boyfriend is in it and SHE'S not even going to see it. Seuss must spin a little in his grave everytime someone sings a song from that damn musical.
Yes, it is too happy, and yes, that is possible. If something is too happy, it causes me to be depressed because nothing in life is happy rainbows and ice cream. As nice as it would be, it would be fricking DULL. Nothing exciting would ever happen. The only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning is that something horrible might happen to me. I want to be challenged to a duel of fisticuffs at dawn or be attacked by a sky shark! eek THAT'S what make's life worth living!

*sings in a very sarcastic voice* You're a good man, Charlie Brown, bla bla bla, bla bla bla, this show sucks! With a heart such as yours, you could bore us all to sleep.......
don't even get me started on the song Happiness. it's just too happy!
i heard a rumor that a hs summer theater here might do Seussical. I hope to God that they don't. if they do, I'm not gunna go to it.

I wish someplace near me would do Seussical. Ever since I got the soundtrack, I've fallen in love with it ^_^

My high school is doing 'Seussical' as our spring musical (We go up on March 17). I got cast. Gosh..Everyone seems to be doing it this year.
...I love the soundtrack. It's a little more..."kiddy" than I would have liked to do but it really is a fun show once you get down to it.

I just don't think I could stand that much consecutive rhyming. One time during a speech tournament someone did an interp that rhymed ala Seuss, and by the end of it I was ready to stab my ears out. Just the thought of what a full length musical could do....I don't like to think about it.
