Well I'm 21 and I'm not at all excited about Christmas coming up. It seems like 'just another day' to me.

Is everybody else excited about Christmas unlike moi? I remember when I was the age that most Gaians are now (about 16 I would say) I got so excited about it...now I'm just 'meh.'

I don't even have the urge to get an Xbox 360 lol.

All my friends and I loooooove Christmas. We sing carols in class (and teach Christmas songs to each other), dance, and just have a blast. Yeah, we like us some gifts, but just finally being happy this time of year makes us feel good. 3nodding

I'm sixteen, and I find the holidays to be just another excuse to spend money. Since I don't have a steady income of money, I don't like to spend it. Thus, I'm not too thrilled about holidays and whatnot. Though, it's nice to spend time with your family.

Hehe I like to go shopping. Christmas is the only time my mom lets me go shopping more than once in a week. Even if we get lazy and buy for ourselves. I have a hard time asking for things though. But I looove trying to find gifts for everyone. Christmas itself means it's a day of Christ, so I kinda keep that in mind. ^^; Even if I don't go to church on Christmas.

Eh, I don't really enjoy Christmas anymore. I mean as a kid, it was fun, but now adays, it seems like my parents and family members don't know what to get me. So, I either get something really stupid that I won't ever use/wear, or it's nothing. So, I'd rather just get nothing...or of course, money. xp

I don't really celebrate Christmas so... it's really just another day for me.

Meh. Christmas. I enjoy it cause I get a break from school and I get to spend time with my family.

But what I don't like about it is the fact that's it's gotten so... Materialistic. Gifts, gifts, gifts. That's all that seems to matter nowadays, it's really saddening. I mean, in all honesty, I don't appreciate gifts as much as I do spending time with people. All I really want to do is have a good time.

Christ, and I'm just seventeen and already I think gifts aren't worth anything. Well, they're worth something, of course. But... I just can't appreciate them. It's as if people *have* to get me stuff. I say no, they say yes. Dammit. D:

Seriously. I'm 14 (Am I the youngest here?! sweatdrop I'll be 15 in about 4 months, does that make any difference? sweatdrop ) and all my parents think about during this time of year are presents and gifts. What to get this person, what to get that person, if the gift they bought for one person was enough for the gift they gave us, etc. We DO get to go to San Francisco to visit family (I live in Cali, peeps whee ), but tis only for a few days. Once it was even one day and a night!! I do appreciate gifts though. I don't want to sound selfish, but to me it's a sign that my relatives are still thinking of me when we haven't seen each other in so long (Usually we only get to go up to S.F. once a year).

Yeah, I like it. No school, more people and presents. What's not to love?

I guess I like the vacation, but not Christmas itself.

At least I can't be outta' angst with the commercialized Christmas.

You know, I hear people complaing about how materialistic Christmas is, but you know, if it's so materialistic to buy someone you love something nice, then why shop any other time of the year? Why by Valentine's gifts or birthday gifts? Those are materialistic days too. Oh, and we can't forget Easter.

I'm going to be nineteen and I'm a very cynical person, but not so cynical as to say that buying things for people you love is materialisitic. Man, I'm not even Christian and I think St. Nick was on to something... I think he'd be rolling in his grave if he knew people thought that giving gifts made you materialisitc. He gave gifts to people who were less fortunate because he cared and we give gifts to our loved ones because we care.

I love everything about Christmas (okay, not everything - the religious aspect I don't acknowledge...) right down to giving and receiving gifts! I especially love the food! Yes, I'm a food-whore. Christmas just has this atmosphere, y'know? Most people tend to be nicer, you get to do things as family, good food, good memories, thoughtful presents, no school. It's just great! I could do without the snow though... Snow is cold and yucky.
