So, i just realized that on friday I officially have 30 days until regionals auditions, and I am beginning to freak out(a whole 20 days earlier then last year)
Which is weird, because i am way more prepared then last year. But of course, last year I couldn't have been less prepared. Broke my mouthpiece in the warmup area the one time I didn't have my spare, didn't start practicing etudes until about a week before(big lecture from the bd about that oneXD), I hadn't played scales in nearly a year, I only practiced my third etude once and my sightreading was everything but good. And yet i still made 2nd third part, 21st chair.
So, I know I can do better this year. i've been keeping a spare mouthpiece in my case, I started practicing the day I got my etudes, practiced all of them, been practicing my scales(I've realized that the more sharps and flats there are, the easier the scale, which is weird. Can't wait to see my section's faces when I point that out), and my sightreading is 200 times better.

Great, regional auditions are about 4 days away, and me and my dad just cut our fingers real bad chopping carrots. He took a small chunk off the tip and i realized i was cutting in time to keep most of it on, but it is disconnected. not bad enough for the hospital, but it hurts like hell
