Baritone is, in my opinion, the most beautiful instrument. I quit playing it after a month, and went back to trombone, but I liked it.

hehe I love the baritones in our band! They always remind me of cows or when they play this one tune it reminds me of veggie tales! So yep if you like it keep it! Don't worry about what other people say!

I play baritone. Most people don't play it so if you play it, then you'll have some really good parts in band. You really will. Your director will love you.

Keep playing. Don't listen to what anyone says. I sit next to the Bari in my Jazz band and I love listening to him cause that is an amazing instrument. To me it's like the bass guitar of the woodwinds. ;D KEEP PLAYING!!!!!!

I love baritones, only because my boyfriend plays it. I'm the only girl low brass player at our school, except for a girl that isn't even close to playing with our low brass yet since she's too young.

I never stuck with an instrument more than a year, but I haven't played baritone since my sixth grade year, so its been a while. Stick with it, it'll help you get muscles in marching band [I would know] and you'll get the best parts in songs.

My old BD said it's the best of both worlds. Sometimes you get the cool low brass jams, and other times, you get the melody with the high voices. My main thing is tuba, but I do baritone on the side. Used to play it in concert band, little in symphonic as well. Even did marching baritone for a short while. I loved playing it, you should stick with it.

I played baritone a couple years, and it's a really cool instrument with a great sound, but it wasn't really my thing. I was better with the smaller brass instruments. But if you like it then go for it. :3 You don't find a lot of female baritone players.
