Darksday 12/13/2005
I haven't slept a wink, my body seems to pulse with anticipation and my mind is working harder then it ever has, thinking of what it will be like. Facing him, facing Promathia. I sit in Ru'Lude Gardens with the rest of the insomnia members of our group. They chatter about themselves and they know to exclude me, they know I cannot carry on a normal conversation being so excited.
As the other members find their way to Ru'Lude Gardens I smile as they start towards our final destination, Promathia and the final battle of our voyage. As we travel to Al'Tiaeu I think of the journeys we all have been on, the things we've done and the monsters we've slain to get this far. I can't help but smile as we reach Al'Tiaeu, passing into the Garden of Ru'Hmet We each walk through the sealed portal into our destiny.
Standing there I feel as if I'm flying. My body seems weightless and I look down at what seems to be Vana'Diel I shiver and look up, and there he is. Standing over us all, like a vision of death. He looks like an angel, only with six crystal purple wings that shimmer in the light. I shiver again as I bit my lip hard enough to draw blood, he seems pleased that I fear him. Clenching my knuckles hard they turn white. Staring at the giant vision I swallow and look at my friends, they seem to fear him even more then I do. Now I know why I was here on Vana'Diel, I was sent to help slay him.
I see two figures near us, the friends of past battles; they say they're going to help us fight. I smile, the more the merrier. I stare up at the form of the god once more and my hand slips to the hilt of my weapon. I take a bite of the food and I feel stronger, more powerful. My body is somehow recharged as the rest of us are magically enhanced and protected. I swallow hard as I hear the familiar sound of steel being drawn from a sheath.
The two that joined us here in this abysmal place rush foreword, ready to fight. We follow their lead. I take my katana from its sheath and instantly I feel the rush of the battle. The fear from before is gone and replaced by what I know, battle. I charge into battle, driven by the pounding of blood in my ears and my blade meets it's target. The great being seems unaffected by the swing, but knowing that the blade bit I am thrown into frenzy. My swings come faster now.
I see what this horrid beast can do as I hear two of my teammates fall. Their death's shall not be in vain, I shall avenge them. I feel warm now, the warmth rushing through my body and I am hit with a flamming ball of stone. Groaning as my body is covered in ash and my face cut up. My body is surrounded by light and I smile to a teammate and nod my thanks before I continue pummeling the beast with my blade.
Two more fall before the beast even seems to be weakening. I see another three fall to the ground, unconcious from exertion. I quicken my strikes, avenging my fallen comrades. The two that joined us a few moments ago have not yet fallen, they seem to enjoy hurting the beast even more then I do.
The time of the battle was lost to me, time has no meaning now and I want my next swing to end this beast's life. Finally the swing makes Promathia fall, my eyes watch the beast die and I can't help but smile, we did it. The threat of Vana'Diel is gone, and I feel as if I contributed somehow. My blade helped bring about the end of the darkness, the emptiness.
We walk, but I still feel light, weightless. We travel across Vana'Diel, receiving thanks from all and gifts from some. We return back to Jeuno and we all walk to get our final reward, the ring that we've been working for all this time.
Staring at the three rings presented to me, I blink a little. I've been dreaming of this day for the longest time, but staring at these rings it's hard to think that this isn't a dream. I swallow hard and reach out, caressing the golden ring with the dual bands and I smile. This is the one for me. Taking it I nod and take off the ring on my left hand and slip the new ring on. I feel enhanced, my body is more powerful and I grin, this is the ring for me.
Nodding to the others I feel like I need to sleep, my body is heavy and my eyelids are even heavier. I walk into my room I stare at my Moogle who stares at me wide eyed; I must be an interesting sight. Blackened and clothing torn. Taking my clothing off I put them down next to my rented bed and I slip under the covers, I slowly fall into a much-needed sleep.

Windsday 12/14/2005
((Because of Gaia's maintenence I had no time to post this, so I'll post twice.))
I awake quite late into the morning. My body has dull aches in some places. My days of insomnia have finally caught up with me. Even though I ache, I cannot help but smile. I dreamt of the adventures yesterday, of the battle, of the giant that was Promathia. But as much as I've been though I cannot help but feeling that this is not the end.
Reaching down I touch the double-banded golden ring on my finger, the ring I earned yesterday. Raja's Ring was what the Archduke called it, and I knew that this ring was for me. My companions had chosen other rings, I watched as an identical one replaced the ring I took.
Shaking my head I get out of my rented bed and slip my armor on. I admire the weapon I wield for a moment before stepping into Lower Jeuno. I looked at the spinning creature in the center of my room, Moogle was what he called himself. Scowling I ask for my deliveries and he just smiles at me and shouts things in a strange ancient tongue I cannot understand.
I sigh and looked around the room and spot a small sack from the dead plant in the corner of my room. Moogle had killed that plant last weak, and as I walk over to it I notice he also decided that it would be a wonderful place to store the gil sent to me by the auction house. Strange, I cannot help but feel that there is gil missing, I'll remember to deal with the auction house myself and not use this moronic Moogle.
Sighing I spend another hour searching out the other deliveries, I find eight pieces of Buffalo Meat that I was going to use to make Hedgehog Pie's, I thought Moogle was beginning to bulge some in the waist. Another quick scan I found more gil stored inside the rented mattress, which I scold Moogle for tearing, and I strangely find all the gil I had put my Light Cluster up for. Staring at Moogle he spins and shouts his string of "Kupo, kupo, kupo!" at me.
My hand slips to hilt of my katana and I stare at the Moogle who begins to blink stupidly. It's time to punish that damned Moogle.

Earthsday 12/15/2005
Stepping out of the Sealions Den into the beautiful area of Al'Taieu. My mouth drops open as I gaze at the beauty before me.
I take another step foreword and my body seems to feel like it's floating. Closing my eyes for a moment I absorb the feeling before gazing at this place, and it's wonders. The crystalline peaks upon which stand beautiful trees with shimmering leaves. The water that glitters off the sun. The pillars of stone that shimmer and seem to be made of crystal, like the peaks. The sky twinkles like glitter thrown up from a young child. But what captivates my attention the most, is the inhabitants of Al'Taieu.
Strange turquoise creatures flutter through the air nipping at cheerful pink creatures that wiggle through the air. The turquoise creatures have strange tails that flutter as they move, and the pink creatures chirp as they move across the water. They seem wonderfully cheerful and I smile as I watch them move, darting away from the strange turquoise creatures.
But the one creature that really makes me stare are the angelic beasts with four wings that flutter across the sky. They turn this way and that, taking in the surroundings. They pulse with arcane power and I do not dare annoy them, just yet.
I learn that the strange turquoise creatures are named Phuabo, and they seem to get annoyed with anyone that walks near them. The adorable, merry pink beasts call themselves Hpemde. They are not annoyed at my presence, they seem to relish attention, and I pet them whenever I walk by. The angelic creatures are called Aern's, and they are stunning creatures. Their wings flutter a strange hello as I walk past, and I cannot help but smile. These creatures know me, they know who I am, what I am. I feel that I am welcome here, that I could live here were I asked to by the others.
Shaking my head clear of any thoughts I sit down and smile. I sit for hours, until the sun has set and midnight nears. I watch more, captivated by these creatures, and their movements. I close my eyes and lean against one of the peaks and sigh, here I am. I am home. Slowly, I drift into sleep.
