Introduction:

First making of an RP... I'm not going to be formal, but I will try and explain everything nicely. My co-operater person of this will be Kari Otogi, cause she's just that sweet. Please read through the plotline and rules. Umm... Most of this is inspired by Narnia so there will be crosses and uses of that. Just bare with it please.

Rules:

arrow Gaia's, guild's rules apply.
arrow Literacy please, I don't have a min. or a max. Just please avoid one liners and use book writing. Meaning quotations and such. Please?
arrow Profiles are optional, if you do one I don't have a guidline on them but PM them to me for somethings I believe should just be kept for people to find out in an rp. If you do have a picture, I do ask you put it in a link on your first post. Not an actual image on the site.
arrow Meh, have fun?

Plotline:

Hundreds of years ago humans and all mythical beings lived peacefully together, but then the humans became too distructive and greedy for power. All those that held magic joined to find a solution. One day it was found by an ancient sorceror who created a portal through an armoire, one that lead to a land for all that was magical could live in peace. A few decided to stay, such as Merlin, but they were unable to pass on their powers and so magic died out in the human realm.

Now in futuristic times, magic, myth and lore is even less heard about than today. Only things such as Harry Potter and fantasy books and movies seem to keep it alive. Though the mythical creatures have gotten curious, especially after a few stumbled upon the portal. The ancient armoire is now held in a mansion museum/hotel where customers often complain about strange occurances. The mythical beings are not stupid, they know not to be seen by humans but there have been some instances...

Now that more paranormal investigators and tourists are coming for these strange occurances it's becoming harder to hide their presence. How will these futuristic humans, with dangerous technology deal with the coming of magic and things that defy all logic of a few centuries?

Other/FAQ:

Now for races I don't care. They can be anthros, elves, unicorns, pheonix's, demons, angels, etc. Just they HAVE to have been raised in the mythical world. There are no half humans or anything like that. You can however be a human magician from the magical world. For most did follow the mythical beings to the world to save their magic.

Something someone brought up: This has been happening for a little while so mythical characters can be living in the human world. But, since there is no magic in the human world they must return to the magical world for a... 'recharge' I guess, every once in a while depending on what creature they are. The longer they're away without a recharge the more magic they lose.
Also, your character must be 'of age' in their race, children are not allowed to live in the human world no matter if their older sibling or parents are with them. That doesn't mean you can't play a child character breaking the rules a bit.

12/13: To all who've read this while it's under construction: Please PM any ideas you may have or things I need to make clearer to me. Or post them here. Either I'm fine with.

Zachren Pro-Loen, or "Rene du Fournier", was a wee little elfling, standing at a height of five feet and three inches. Bright red, shoulder length hair sat atop his petite fifteen-year-old-looking face, covering the pointed ears that would have all the paranormal experts on his hide if he ever showed them. And on top of his head, he wore an old-looking black derby hat that he'd "borrowed" from an old human. How weak and frail they were. On his feminnely shaped body, he wore what Charlie Chaplin would have worn as The Tramp, only it all fit perfectly. Well, his pants did look a little tight and the clumpy shoes were replaced by red sneakers.

This bright little elf had indeed visited the "Non-Magic" world back in the early 1950s, but only for a month. And I can tell you, the fifties were much different from, well, now. Rene had saved these earthly garnments from way-back-when and had only worn them on his short visits.

Today, Rene had decided to hang out at the museum, looking at all the old relics from times past and whatnot. Some brought smiles, some brought glares, and some brought nothing.

But what truly brought the laughs were all the tourists and investigators that he'd managed to spy on during his current visit. How silly they all were.

And so, he sat there on that bench, just outside the giant mansion full of old things, thinking of all the other things he could laugh at.

Cassandra moved from sculpture to sculpture, circling them with interest. -What does this peice represent, for all it looks like is a simple man?- She thought to herself. What strange people these humans were, and it would seem like they haven't changed at all since her mother tugged her hand as a young child though the portal and into their new home.

She appeared to be a women in her late teens now, and was nothing short from beautiful. She had long rich brown hair and her eyes were a cold black. Her skin was pale and her lips a deep, dark red. She wore a dark violet trench coat with musty, murky green-heeled boots. The dress she wore beneath was tiny and black, her legs covered by fishnet stockings of dark blue. This was how her mother portrayed teenage girls in the human world, dark and angst.

She moved to a picture and moved out to touch it, yet received a harsh warning from a man with a badge nearby. What scared creatures humans are, with such tender looking necks.

Ariai let her eyes shift across an old painting of a mountain landscape. It was really a beautiful painting. But she was sure the real mountain landscape was much, much better. She tore her gaze away from it and moved onto the area where vases and jewelry were held. A lock of her long, wavy chestnut brown hair slid over her equally brown eyes, and with a puff of air from her lips, she moved it away.

Ariai D'Augnue was a petite woman. The deep necked white tank top she wore curved snugly around her bosom, and the denim jeans did the same around her hips. A pair of white high heels, a dark blue jacket, and a tiny jewel necklace around her neck completed her disguise. She was very proud of the look she managed to pull off in the future world; it wasn't easy, seeing as the future world was a total mystery to her.

Time to go back in. Maybe he'd try to hit on one of the security guards this time, or perhaps pilfer a few relics. He'd done that before, it wasn't all that hard. Mind you, he returned each item eventually.

And so, getting up and dusting off his bottom, he waltzed right back into the museum. His eyes were gazing off in all directions, taking in every single detail over and over again. It was these details that kept him content in a new, yet boring world. Boring because it was all based on routine. He needed someone to really show him what the world was like. But he never got to know anyone enough to befriend them. So he was alone.

He'd been so distracted, that he hadn't looked where he was going and promptly tripped on his own feet, falling on a very pale looking girl.

And they said elves were supposed to be graceful. Pah!

She fell backwards onto her bottom and hands, and looked down at what caused her fall. An elve, not wonder. She thoguht she smelt something funny around here, and getting so close just confirmed her it. She glared at him scornfully, "Hey, watch where you're going!" She rose slowly and began brushing off her dark attire, thinking while she did. Maybe it wasn't the smartest idea shes had today. Its not like he tried too, nor was she surrounded with people to keep her company. Though she still had a reputation to go with her outfit. "Next time watch where you're going or else." Human kids were so silly with their empty threats. If she was going to hurt him she'd do it without giving him a warning.
