This roleplay will occur over a week and will take place in the Ar'Idil and Cetalu threads (as well as the Centre and Lodge threads), with people from each Island staying in their respective threads.
This thread will be in place for 'updates' as to the current situation within the event. Refer back to here when you see it updated to find out what's happening! (This will all make much more sense once the event begins..)
The first update will happen tommorow morning!

There was something strange, there had been for days. Creaks, groans, rumbles. There had been the usual ones of course, the earth spellweaver thought as she listened intently for any more signs of discontent from the ground below her, but these made the earth sound as if it was screaming in pain.
She was sitting on the beach currently, staring out towards Ar'Idil. She turned to face each of the other visible Islands in turn, trying to discern where the rumbles were coming from. Suddenly a shriek seemed to come from deep below her. The earth seemed to be tearing and bubbling.
The ground began to rumble all across the Island chain...

From the east there was another rumble. A long, low moan which shook the earth. When all had stilled, peace seemed to have settled. Then another rumble. This one didn't come from underneath the ground, it was in the air.
After a short rumble, the volcano on Ai'Ilyn, to the East, begins to spout a little smoke...

A thunderous rumble, another mini-quake and more smoke began to pour out of the volcano. The ground groaned and shrieked, a shrill scream wich faded into a gurgle. Large pieces of molten rock had begun to flow, some blasted high into the air. They were localised to Ai'Ilyn to begin with, but would slowly begin to be more explosively projected.
Get to the Centre or Lodge to be safe! =O

The large lumps of molten rock began to range further. A large explosion seemed to sound. The ground shook violently. Thousands of shards of the glitterinlgy hot rock began to rain down on Cetalu and the near end of Ar'Idil. Then the smoke came. Thick, volcanic ash thrown out of the volcano in huge quantities. A darkness descended over the Islands.
There is molten rock and hot ash raining down on the Islands! Those on Ar'Idil will feel the force of the earthquake and can see the dark smoke overwhelming the Island chain, those on Cetalu will hear the molten rocks hitting off the top of the Centre roof! Things are heating up....

After a few hours the rumblings and thuddings stopped. Slowly the smoke began to clear as brisk winds began to blow it out, across the sea.It's now safe to come out! There is still dust in the air and covering the ground. Small fires are burning themselves out quickly in some places.
