A realization that things were going to go wrong crossed Tempo a long time ago.
He'd had this bad feeling for ages--he could never put a finger on exactly what was wrong, since nothing bad had happened in quite some time...with their kittens back, things had calmed down. The Facility hadn't been all that active lately, not that he could see, at least. And he ran by there quite often.
But now, it was all crashing down on him at once--SeungMoon had returned from an exploration of the surrounding area sobbing, hiccuping and trying to explain what had happened...apparently JiYong had gone with him.
The kitten explained that they had been out exploring in the forest and someone, something had come through and attacked them. By the kitten's physical state he didn't seem injured...a cut on his nose, a scrape on his knee and he was a little ruffled, but that was about it.
But...where was JiYong? Tempo made sure his baby was okay before asking about SeungMoon's father, which is when he broke down sobbing. Something had happened--the man had protected his child and now he was gone. Tempo sent the kitten inside and rushed out to find his long-time mate--the one who he had hunted for for years...finally found, and now he was being taken away again?
His hunt came up empty-handed. Tempo returned to the territory by the next afternoon, being instantly surrounded by a few of his children and their babysitter, SeungRi.
All Tempo had come up with were blood prints, human remains and the torn collar that he had given JiYong when they were reunited just a few short months ago. Which meant that the ocicat had been wounded, and the humans had to have taken him somewhere...as to where, he didn't know. The trail ended just short of the main roadways leading out of the town.
This left Tempo torn--to go out and search for his lover, or to stay behind and watch over his family, his territory...he couldn't rest full responsibility on SiWon, his second in command, or the others to watch over his six offspring...that was even too much for SeungRi, Mei and Leila to manage with how quickly they were growing and going out into the world...
So Tempo had to stay, he couldn't go looking for JiYong. The forest cat had to hope that the blonde would return on his own...He couldn't risk not returning and leaving his territory to defend themselves if something happened.
