Anyone else here an MP. I just got out of basic and have started working the road at my first duty station. I was wondering is it worth it to stay 31B or should I try to get a MOST?

Hey man, i'm an MP too, it's not too bad, of course, i don't work the road, i'm iraq right now, but from what i've heard, liking or disliking matters on where your stationed, you just have to get a good feel for it.

I'm an MP and about to leave my first Duty Station. Like Soma says, it's all about the unit and where you're stationed. I'm going to stay, I have too much fun trolling infantry.

I say stick with it as long as you enjoy it. heart I was a MP and loved it most of the time. This was before we had contractors working the gates so half the times you would do ID checks at the gates *yawn*.

I'm not an MP, but I work in an MP Battalion, not to mention my bf is an MP. If you don't like your first duty station, try not to base whether or not you like the MOS on this one experience; every station is different. MPs DO tend to try and screw people over (in general. Not all are like that) especially if they think they can get away with it, so just make sure you know your entitlements, and don't be afraid to stand up for yourself.

I'm also an MP, but i am in iraq and haven't worked the road so i can't say anything about that, but generally what everyone else is saying is true. Don't base it off your first duty station. I know i don't like mine much, but i still enjoy being an MP
