Yes, this is my first attempt with the tablet I got for X-mas yesterday, and I'm so excited about it! I should of done some simple sketches with it, but for some reason I tried drawing something from looking at a pic I had saved. Don't ask me why I have it, I honestly thought it was a funny pic seeing Mrs. Possible like that lol

So, BEHOLD!!



You can't see anything dirty, so I figured it was okay to post it. I used Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and was able to get a couple of layers going. Still trying to remember a lot of what I learned from my graphic communications class (this was 5 years ago though and never used adobe since) so I'm relearning tools.

So, what do you guys think?

It's not bad!

Geh, protip, don't use the background layer for painting. Just a future reference. I tend to have it so that the lineart is on top, anything behind the main subject is background, and all the other layers are sammiched in between.

I have loads of layers myself, though most artists avoid it. I just have to keep them separated or I go insane ><;;
For example, hair, skin, clothing, props. Those are my four main layers. I'll paint someone fully nude, then do their clothes afterwards XD
I was drawing a pic of me and my friend's characters once and sent him a preview before the clothes were on. His girlfriend was worried as to why both our MMO characters were naked ^^;
