i just got an elite and i try using the wired mic on Borderlands online. In the lobby when i talk the voice thingy is there but i don't think they can hear me because i can't hear them, so please help (:

Make sure the volume is turned up on your headphones, and make sure the little switch thing on the volume control is flicked to the little picture of the mic.

i dont like when ppl use music, like its okay, but 4 me its good on some games.

If you are using a wireless controller then change the batteries. Make sure the mic switch is on and volume is all the way up

Maybe they don't have mics? Or maybe you bought a deffective mic? I got my mic for $13 at radioshack! Try sending one of your friends a voice message and see if you can hear it.
