"Suck up..." Jack muttered as he cocked his head to the side, flipping his tugged ear back into place. Having been able to hold his calmness until Kage's next comment."Make me!" He gasped out in response, a tad bit louder than what was originally said to him.
 ~Kewnew ~Grim  ~Icarus
"I don't wana' go!" A wail proved unheard through the already bustling room as a Treecko disappeared in a black ball of a Nightshade attack courtesy of her partner who from that point took the reluctant Kewnew back to their room.
"Excuse you?" Icarus stopped dead and stared back at the Charmander who confronted him. But before he could get another word in she had already walked away causing him to scoff in disgust.

Zen & Vertigo & the Good Doctor & Shaniqua
Vertigo, not hearing Scrift's comment, smiled as Ziva replied to him, and answered, "It's a highly-acclaimed book of battle tactics. I'm going to make my own, but first I wanted to see what others have done and what works well." It had been easy for him to retreat to the corner to read, after all, he wasn't really too good in crowds - he never knew what to say or do. "It's very interesting, and I've gotten a lot of good ideas from it."
Zen was a bit surprised when Leslie didn't reply, but he realized what was going on when he saw the Shinx looking around for someone called Amani. Was that the Pichu? Zen wasn't sure, but when Leslie's head turned, he followed his friend's gaze to see two girls kissing. "Woah," he said, taken aback. He didn't know either of them, though. This gave him an excuse to keep staring, his mouth slightly open.
"Oh, I am sorry," the Good Doctor said when she mentioned being too shy. He did recall that she was quite reserved. "Me? I am...good, I suppose, crowds are not my thing," he replied. They tended to turn into riots when he went into them. Giving her a little pat on the head, he sat down next to her again, saying, "What about you?"
"Jus' curious, y'know, 'cuz yer teleportin' all over da place," Shani said, shrugging and idly playing with one of her golden necklaces with one finger. "Yer real...interestin'."

 ScriftScrift couldn't help but make a soft buzzing sound of amusement by fluttering her wings after overhearing the Gallade. Kage and Blade were the two males aside from the Sire she could actually put up with in the entire Guild. Sigh as she returned to what Solaris was saying she mutted, "I'll try not to, Sire."Glancing up, she caught sight of Blade and nodded politely towards him. She respected the Scizor for his power and ability to hold his tongue unless absolutely necessary.     Auron xxx Zerca xx Sinistrad xxx RunouraZerca's eyes softened ever so slightly as she looked down upon the female she practically fell in love with upon first sight. The Totodile was about to give a witty reply when Vira managed to surprise her with a soft kiss. Smiling very slightly, she returned the sweet exchange before pulling away. "As I was saying, it's good to see you here as well~"Vaguelly she noted a few odd stares and was tempted to flip them all off but Vira brought out a softer side in her and she refrained from doing so. It would be just his luck that the moment he tried to be social the Pokemon in question would randomly vanish. Great. Sighing a bit to himself (both is regret and relief) he turned back to go hang out near Zerca. Catching sight of his partner kissing with a fair looking Sneasel, he blinked and turned right back around. "O-oh my. Um, I think I'll just leave them alone." he mumbled to himself. Rune nodded politely as the Sableye gave his condolences for her unfortunate little issue. She didn't really understand why other Pokemon avoided him just because of his appearance. Smiling a bit at the pat on the head, she thought about her response. "Doing well. Papa is worrysome though." she said with that same quiet voice. It was odd, being so comfortable with talking around such a supposedly ghastly creature. However, she was thankful that she was able to talk at all around another Pokemon. Perhaps she'd start trying to talk more often...

Ziva nodded at little Vertigo, and realized that his book was quite important to him. "Why do you want to write your own?" Most Pokemon didn't read such books, and she wondered what Vertigo hoped to gain. She also wondered why he wasn't training, or trying the tactics...or maybe he had? Or was planning too? Most things you read from books, you couldn't just learn. You'd still have to actually go out there and try them...
  Hoot & Chopin
Hoot mock curtsied, and then couldn't help it, she glomped Jazz. "Happy New Years!" She smiled brightly, eyes glistening slightly under all the decorations and such. She eyed the presents, then motioned for Chopin to come over. Pretending the little awkward moment they just shared, first of many, didn't happen. "I'm Chopin!" He too smiled brightly, but what had just conspired stuck in his head...he eyed Hoot.

Not even noticing Kage and Jack's silent arguement, the Espeon stood and moved to the door with Glacia following.
"Where are you going, sir?"
Solaris paused and turned around slightly. "To see Apollo, Something is....wrong..."
 
Jazz---Shiro
The Pichu, being off balance at it was, fell over at the glomp and with a laugh leapt back to his feet.
"HAPPY ALMOST NEW YEARS, you mean! Its not time yet!" He turned to Chopin with a bright smile of his own and passed along the glomp to the Cyndaquil, sadly neglecting the flames on his back and with a yelp fell back on his tail.
Seconds later a blast of water hit him, soaking the Pichu.
"Damage control is my new job apparently."
"I was on fire! It was awsome!"
"So you were. Dont do it again."

"Huh?" Vertigo asked. He wasn't sure what Ziva meant, maybe he had stated things incorrectly. "No, I meant I'm going to make my own tactics," he said, giving a nervous laugh. "Because the ones in the books are probably already overused." Poor kid had no idea that he was probably the only Pokemon in the entire guild who read books about battling.
Zen sighed, glancing around. It was getting stuffy in here and none of his friends were talking to him. Heading for the door, he left, heading for the Courtyard for some fresh air, hopefully to meet someone there too.
The Good Doctor looked at the little Snorunt sitting next to him. "That's good...but why is he worrisome?" he asked, watching the black Venonat who seemed to be quite unsure of what to do, as the girl who was his partner was busy kissing another girl. Hmm. That was very interesting. 'I'd like to examine their brains sometime,' he thought, before snapping back to reality.
((ooc: Totally giving up on typing the accent, just pretend he has it. xP))
Shani rolled her eyes. "Sure, whatev," she said. Okay, so he was actually a bit of a little brat. That disqualified him from being even remotely close to awesome enough to talk to her. "Yer a rude li'l thing, y'know?" she asked, before turning and walking away. Huh. This party was actually pretty boring.

Catching movement, she watched as Solaris and Glacia moved to the door. Looking back at Jack and Kage, she hissed, "Quit your bickering. No, Jack, you're not allowed to follow them. They have business."Scowling, she shook her head. Auron xxx Zerca xx Sinistrad xxx RunouraAs Vira looked around, she couldn't help but glare darkly at those that dare make her feel uncomfortabl. "Don't mind the idiots, sweetness~" she whispered, giving her a little kiss on the forehead. She would have said something else but the Sneasel buried her face in her chest and the Totodiles eye widened. Blushing, she stroked Vira's back with a tender claw. Sinistrad had had enough bullshit and decided to leave. "Too... imaginative. In a bad way." she laughed. Poor Auron had a tendancy to think of everything that could possibly go wrong, turning him into a bit of a coward. Blinking a bit, she belatedly noticed the two female Pokemon in an intimate embrace. She couldnt' say she was surprised but she knew she never would like girls that way. From what she had seen of Zerca, they had a tendancy to be far too loud and dramatic.

 KageThe Gallade growled at Jack, but turned his head away when Scrift got involved.
"Why we keep you around, I have no idea," He spat at the Lopunny before heading to the door.
He needed to let off some steam.
He knew not to lose his cool during a party like this.   Vira & Leslie & LumiAt the soft stroke, Vira shivered a little.
She then looked up at Zerca, her pink eyes glistening.
"I'm thinking we should get out of here, before something goes... wrong," She said, casting a glance to Leslie, who was still staring.
"Ummm... Uhhhh... W-We'll talk about that some other time, okay Lumi?" The Shinx stuttered.
Lumi pouted a little.
"O...Kay..." She said softly.
The little Chinchou then looked around shyly and began to toddle around the room slowly.
Unfortunately, she wasn't really watching where she was going, and she walked right into a gray and blue Buizel.

Ziva smiled, getting it now. "Ah, well it's good to have well-read members. I'm sure you can consider yourself one of the few who reads. Have you come up with any of your own tactics yet? Or only had ideas? I wouldn't mind helping you train and develop those ideas, if you ever needed it." Vertigo reminded Ziva of herself, when she was younger, and struggling to prove herself. Short flashbacks came back to her, training as a Caterpie, sometimes wishing for help. Someone to train with...She liked Vertigo. She smiled down at him. Being at the guild and part of the guild now was going to help him out a lot.
Hoot & Chopin
Chopin's eyes widened, sweat forming on his forehead. Hoot's ears drooped and she ran over, "You ok, Jazz?! Chopin didn't mean it..." Chopin shook his head and scurried over, "I didn't, sorry...what'd it feel like to be on fire...?" He only said it cause Jazz seemed pretty cool with it. Hoot eyed Shiro, Chopin had warned her to steer clear of him. He wasn't nice, as he had summarized in the end. She shook her head, realizing she was staring, and looked back at Jazz.

Jazz laughed, waving a paw while Shiro shot Chopin a glare and stalked away.
"I'm fine, dont worry!" The Pichu turned to the Cyndaquil and gave a thumbs up. "Very hot."
Shiro rolled his eyes, avoiding the younger Pokemon, maybe he'd go find Taki and beat up on him for amusement, but he paused upon spotting Vira and that Totodile again.
Dammit, why was he so pissed?
"I am so out of here."
