Appearance: Physic wise, his body is like that of a water polo players’, slim and muscular, but well proportioned. He seems quite skinny, but shirt off his muscles earned from years of Iaido and Kendo show off quite a bit. He has strong built shoulders for his leaner frame, along with six pack abdominals and well built though slim biceps. He has hardly any fat on his body whatsoever and his body is quite hardened from hard work through chores that he did to stay in his dojo. He had a few scars on his chest, a slight gash going down his left rib and flowing in a diagonal cut going from underneath the chest and arcing into the side of the back. And also on his right pectoral he has a cat claw shaped car with three parallel lines cutting open that part of the chest quite easily. He received on it on a bad run in with a tiger, though he killed it. He has calluses all over his hands that allow him to grip his swords effortlessly without hurting or scratching his hands up. And it also lets him punch without hurting his hands too much.
As for facially, his face is tan, and shows a mix of both Asian and European heritage. He has light baby blue eyes with a black pupil in the center, though his eyes do have the Asian slant somewhat though it only makes him look a bit more handsome in that regard since it isn’t over done. He has a slightly sharp nose as well as soft lips and normal detached lobes. His hair is straight and most of the time falls all over his face or to one side giving him an ‘emo’ look, but he often can get rid of it easily with some sort of headband or whatnot.
Fighting skills:
He uses a brutal mix of Iaido he learned from his master along with Kendo and some Judo trapping range attacks and Ju-Jitsu as well. He fights relentlessly, and often veers away from following an exact style resemblance, and rather fights with a incredible tenacity and strength like someone on the verge of death. He will often mix his pinning and grappling attacks to set up for devastating slash attacks, and has a very unorthodox way of brutality for his young age. And he will not hesitate to headbutt, or do vicious combos and even disrespect his weapon by letting it go to fist fight with full strength and speed. And at times e may go dual sword style with his Wakizashi and do his own prodigious style of fighting to rip his opponents to shreds by having one hand open, one holding his Kantana/bouken, and his mouth holding his Wakizashi.

The Kantana has a special Scabbard design so not only could it be used as a physical kantana blade, with the blade sheathed he can melee his opponents as if the scabbard and blade together were a solid bouken like blade and is solid enough to batter skulls inside out. The Wakizashi holds a similar concept, but it is not as favorable.

Personality:
Ryoma is someone with a calm, together attitude who rather enjoys what he has at the moment. He is someone who has learned not to take anything for granted in his life, and is gracious and appreciative in all he receives no matter what it maybe. He is serious, almost feral in his fighting and always fights as if his life is on the line every time, and never hesitates once to kill someone, and because of this belief in fighting he rarely holds remorse for killing in fights unless it is truly unjust. But with that said, Ryoma holds a deep bound code of honor and conduct as well, and keeps an imperial sense of justice in all his views and workings. This makes him quite respectable but this can be a quirk since he seems to come across as nosy sometimes as well. But though he is nosy in reality as well, he is also caring and a compassionate person as well, and keeps a tucked away gentleness towards not only women but animals and children as well. But this compassion is usually kept under guard and shown to those who garner his trust since showing such emotions and part of himself was considered effeminate in his culture and forbidden in men in general. With that said, Ryoma keeps his gentleness only towards those he feels comfortable with as part of his code, unless that trust is impossible such as with a baby or an animal since it is quite hard without some show of compassion.

Ryoma doesn’t like certain vegetables (cucumbers, carrots, eggplant), people who are knives, those who dishonor or criticize his code (especially if they hold no ground to talk on), guns, and those who are overly arrogant or full of themselves...
History:
Born orphaned from a European mother and a Japanese father into an ancient Japanese clan of powerful warriors bred and developed in a special manner from birth called the Raizen, Ryuk was born to fight from the start. Since he was a very small child, he was trained viciously to fight, being fed horrible tasting foods that were high in nutritional value and developmental factors, going through brutal training, and drinking poison and other toxins in small doses to gain gradual resistance to them. And through all this, by age 10, he was able to use two full size kantanas and kill an entire brigand group without receiving any physical harm, and by age 15, his resistance to poison was so strong that he could drink an entire bottle of rattle snake venom and not even flinch. This brutal process made him part of the breed, the Raizen, but it also made him colder and put much less value on the human life.
But what really made him different was that as much as he loved to learn how to fight, he loved to learn through reading. And it was that factor that saved him when, during his early youth (think 10) they raided a bandit compound, killing everyone save for a 15 year old boy who seemed so weak and helpless, that they didn’t even bother. 5 years later, that youth grew with hatred and malice and gathered his recourses he gathered to destroy the clan in one big sweep by hiring modernized mercenaries to do a night slaughter of their entire clan. Ryuk, who at the time, was 15 himself, was reading at a nearby library in dock town as the clan had a meeting upon the central boat compound with everyone in it. The survivor, hearing of this, simply snuck into the during the dead of night unto the boat with the mercenaries and killed everyone as they slept. The only survivor of this massacre was Ryuk. And afterwards, Ryuk didn’t have much to live on at that point since he had no financial support and he himself was brutally hunted until he was forced unto the sea to avoid capture, were he drifted for a while and lost most of his memory on his brutal past and his hunters. Miraculously he survived and now all that remains is his name, his fighting skills and resistances burned into his body, his scars, his literacy and his swords.
