Here's the deal, I got a 3 month prescription to Alesse (sp?) at the end of which, I was suppose to see my doctor, discuss any side effects and then get a real prescription filled, which is what, like a year? Anyway, before my apointment, I got dumped, and I didn't see the point.
Now that I've got this new boyfriend, and I think it might get serious really soon. I'm looking to get back on it. I'm curious though, if anyone knows of any pros or cons to consider? I know everyone is different and just cause it works for you, doesn't mean it's right for me. That's not what I mean. I'm wondering if maybe, some have a higher salt content than others, if there are any made by environmental friendly companies etc. Any small, seemingly insignficant fact about any of these companies, I would like to know. Chances are I will stay on it for several years to come (yes, even if we break up, cause my period cramps are just unbearable without drugs)

sad unless anyone comments, I'm gona go back on Alesse. It's low dose, it's been around for a long time, I remember watching the commercials when I was in high school, and it's what I used during my 3 month trial with no side effects. No bad side effects anyway, the shorter, lighter and less painful periods definitely a good side effect

I've had nothing but horrible luck with several brands of birth control pills and have a hormone imbalance now thanks to taking them over five years ago. I wish I could offer some helpful advice but I can't. All I know is, they definitely are not for everyone.
