New neighbors, joy. Of course, you -had- to go and say hello, as is propper ediquette. Still, you are begrudging and unhappy about the whole idea, after all, you could be taking over the world right about now. You punch the door bell like you're trying to destroy it with your finger and wait. bang... bangbang-EEK- shuffle gunt BARKBARKBARK Finally the door opens. "O hai! Sorry that took so long. Boxes are everywhere, it's kind of hard to navigate. Oh, brr, it's so cold. Come on inside, I'll get some hot drinks." The ginger lady disappears through the door and you follow closley behind her, lest you be lost among the boxes.
"Don't bother wipping your feet, between the dog and me, the house is never really spick or span," she laughed, tossing a few empty boxes out of her way.
"Who are you talking to, Maia?"
"New neighbors. They stood outside for a while, so I thought I'd give them something to warm them up. What have we got unpacked?"
"Nothing."
"Oh... bum. Max, help me at least find the coffee maker."
Finally you find your way to the kitchen, where a brunette man, most likley Max, rumages through the boxes with Maia. You insist that you're fine, and that you must be on your way, but Maia insists right back.
"You're better off just letting her take care of you, really."
"Thats how you ended up marrying me, actually."
The man named Max only smiled into his box before he pulled out a coffee maker.
"What'll it be, coffee, tea, or cocoa?"
You make your decision and Maia quicjly sets to work getting your drink ready. Max holds out his hand with a scrutinizing look. His grip is firm, but not crushing as he asks you for your name. You deliver it without a hitch, which seems enough for him and he stands aside for his wife to hand you your cup.
At your heels a very strangely colored doberman peers up at you with curious eyes. You lean down and discover from his collar that his name is Mintyface. Oh god, you think, where have I just gone?
"So, what brings you here," Maia asks.
