· Army Forces · Much like the Modern Infantry today, The Army Infantry will serve as the backbone to the rest of the military units. The Army Infantry units consist of Five different groups in two different sub-categories. The Groups are- Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Epsilon, and Theta. Each Unit is then assigned a short name in correspondence with their position in the alphabet. A- Alpha. B- Beta. C- Gamma. D- Epsilon. E- Theta. In correspondence with the first letter, a new name is given, signifying the groups lead position beginning with the first letter of alphabetical assignment. These are to be chosen by the specific squads themselves, however, pregiven names are available. These consist of Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Dagnet, Eclipse, respectively. The two Subcategories consist of the normal infantry, and the Airborne Infantry.
In order to join the Army, you must first pass Basic Training, and then you will allowed to request a position in the Army. If accepted, you will be considered a member of the Army. Your army application only serves for your distinct and specific roles, at the time.PRIMARY INFORMATION

MECHANIZED INFANTRY Infantry Infantrymen are soldiers who are specifically trained for the role of fighting on foot to engage the enemy face to face and have historically borne the brunt of the casualties of combat in wars. As the oldest branch of combat arms they are the backbone of armies. Infantry units have more physically demanding training than other branches of armies, and place a greater emphasis on discipline, fitness, physical strength and aggression.
Infantrymen are distinguished from soldiers trained to fight on horseback, in tanks, or in technical roles such as armorers or signalers, but basic infantry skills are fundamental to the training of any soldier, and soldiers of any branch of an army are expected to serve as auxiliary infantry (e.g., patrolling and security) when necessary. Infantry can access and maneuver in terrain inaccessible to vehicles and tanks, and employ infantry support weapons that can provide firepower in the absence of artillery.
Infantry doctrine is the concise expression of how infantry forces contribute to campaigns, major operations, battles, and engagements. It is a guide to action, not hard and fast rules. Doctrine provides a common frame of reference across the military forces allowing the infantry to function cooperatively in what is now called combined arms operations. Doctrine helps standardize operations, facilitating readiness by establishing common ways of accomplishing infantry tasks. Doctrine links theory, history, experimentation, and practice. Its objective is to foster initiative and creative thinking in the infantry's tactical combat environment.
Doctrine provides the infantry with an authoritative body of statements on how infantry forces conduct operations and provides a common lexicon for use by infantry planners and leaders. Until development of effective artillery doctrines, and more recently precision guided air delivered ordnance, the most important role of the infantry has been as the primary force of inflicting casualties on the enemy through aimed fire. The infantry is also the only combat Arm which can ultimately decide whether any given tactical position is occupied, and it is the presence of infantry that assures control of terrain. While the tactics of employment in battle have changed, the basic missions of the infantry have not.
Mechanized and Motor Infantry Mechanized infantry are infantry equipped with armored personnel carriers (APCs), or infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) for transport and combat (see also mechanized force).
Mechanized infantry is distinguished from motorized infantry, which is transported to battle by trucks or motor vehicles, in that their vehicles provide a degree of protection from hostile fire, as opposed to "soft-skinned" wheeled vehicles (trucks or jeeps). Most APCs and IFVs are fully tracked, or are all-wheel drive vehicles (6×6 or 8×8 ), for mobility across rough ground.
The support weapons for mechanized infantry are also provided with motorized transport, or are built directly into combat vehicles, in order to keep pace with the mechanized infantry in combat. For units equipped with most types of APC or any type of IFV, fire support weapons such as machine guns, autocannons, small-bore direct-fire howitzers, and even anti-tank guided missiles are often mounted directly on the infantry's own transport vehicles.
Compared with "light" (foot-mobile) infantry or motorized infantry, mechanized infantry can maintain rapid tactical movement and (if mounted in IFVs) possess more integral firepower. They require more combat supplies (ammunition and especially fuel) and ordnance supplies (spare vehicle components), and a comparatively larger proportion of their manpower is required to crew and maintain the vehicles.
For example, most APCs mount a section of seven or eight infantrymen but have a crew of two. Most IFVs carry only six or seven infantry but require a crew of three. To be effective in the field, mechanized units also require large numbers of mechanics with specialized maintenance and recovery vehicles and equipment. Infantry Ground Forces 1 ALPHA1. How do I apply for Army Airborne? Or a helicopter pilot/gunner? Those are at the top of my list, if not then I would like to know how I would go about being able to use a SAW or another similar Infantry Light Machine Gun, basically like heavy infantry, or something where I can use a LMG.

Haha, that's technically the airforce. I did it to help buffer out their forces, and becuase it's air, it seems more fitting. You do, however, have close links to the army.
You can make the change whenever you feel like! Also, they use the same armory, so the difference will be changing your little thing from 'Army' to 'Airforce', and you'll be god!
