So, how did you get interested in foreign languages? I didn't give much thought to languages until I had to take Spanish in high school. I actually wanted to take Japanese or Latin but my parents told me to take Spanish because it would be more useful. I HATED that class, I wasn't good in it and all the "smart" people (long story, whole new post) were better than me even the the class was a big joke to them. In college I had to take 4 more Spanish classes for my major. It was the weirdest thing. With each Spanish, my grades got worse, but by the last two Spanish courses I was one of the best speakers/writers. My grades were horrible but I could communicate sad . I should pay my former professors a visit. I also like German because the language sounds awesome. I waited until after my Spanish classes were done though so I wouldn't have to worry about balancing 2 languages. What was your first foreign language? English How many years have you studied foreign language? 6 years of Spanish, I should say 4, my high school Spanish was useless. Maybe a few months of German but I've been in a slump with it.
