The darkly hued rabbit was itching for something, anything to do. Her pale, pink eyes turned to the sky, which was brightening with the rising sun, and she let out a deflated sigh.

Things seemed to be turning rotten, alright. So many lives had been lost in the recent raid. It made her glad that she had not gone, though slightly guilty, as well. She was one of the few runners, so shouldn't she of been there?

Maybe if that dog had been after her, instead...

She banished the thoughts quickly, as nothing helpful would come from chiding herself. If that was fate, there would of been little she could do, anyhow. Maybe the dog would of gotten her, instead. Or the man's shining wires.

Hlal'Loir stood from her crouched position beneath the thinning branches of shrubbery that she had taken shelter in. Snow had the Down looking rather beautiful, but she knew she had to be careful. Her pelt stood out in this atmosphere, giving the Thousand a better view of her.

Still, there was time for some fun, wasn't there? Moping about would only bring more sorrow to the warren, right?

Lendlay darted from tree to tree, his grey pelt somewhat hidden but still noticable to his enemies. However if he crouched just at the right height only his white mane and body striped appeared and kept him hidden.. He hated winter, everything was so white and so bright, and everything so cold to the touch even with his thick fur. His long claws kicked up alot of snow behyind him as he darted to another tree. stop. observe. continue.

It was his duty as an owsla officer to do the daily and regular patrols. His silver eyes glanced around looking for any dangers, or some goof things to nibble on. But the harsh weather probably already killed it all.

He stopped to quickly itch his ear before quickly looking around, it seemed like another cold white day...

And oh how he hated those days, it made life so much harder and made his duty more boring then usual. He wished he could have gone to the raid but he was on duty back here at the warren, to make sure things were safe here.

Hlal'Loir took a final look about her surroundings. Nothing seemed out of place and her twitching nose didn't detect any predators. There was another rabbit a little further out. She could see a streak of gray and, although it could be just about anyone, she had the sneaking suspicion that it must have been one of the Owsla. Who else, in their right mind, would spend too much time out here?

She dashed off, a brown streak on pristine white snow. She zigzagged, her heart pounding with exhilaration. The run felt good. Much better than being lazy underground. Besides, how else would she stay fit enough to elude predators, inspect the further reaches of the Down, and deliver messages?

She bounded straight past the dark gray rabbit that she had seen, kicking snow at him playfully. Hopefully he wouldn't want to chew her ears off. Some of the officers couldn't take a joke.

Lendlay let out a humph as a redish black doe ran past him digging up snow that landed on his face. it was cold to the touch and made his nose feel like he was sticking it in icy water. He turned swiftly to where she ran and chased after her. His large body almost hard to carry, but he was fast none the less.

His heart thumped as he chased after her, he could not decide if he was angry or not. He normally would be but he was so bored he might as well take a break. he quickly shot his head side to side looking to see if anyone else would see them. The last thing he wanted was to be reported goofing around on duty.

He darted across the field to save distance so he could catch up to herquickly. he stayed alert for any shadows that hovered above, the shadows that would swoop down with sharp razor claws.

The doe smirked as the buck took chase. Hopefully she wouldn't lose her ears for this! She doubted she would, as she was currently the only Runner in the warren, they needed her in fine condition to continue doing what she did for them. That would keep her safe. Hopefully.

She banked sharply in an attempt to evade the big buck that was pummeling towards her, turning in the opposite direction he had been heading, and headed in a quick decent down the Down's side. Her pink eyes shot forward and ahead, searching for any dangers, but she saw none.

"C'mon, slow poke!"
