Believe it or not, they're actually already accepting applications for beta testers for XIV! See? whee

Unfortunately, heavy traffic has rendered the site inaccessible at the time of writing, so I haven't actually applied yet myself. Alas... Luckily, "Priority will not be given to applications based on order of submission." So no worries on that front. Nice to see that "Tester selection will be based solely upon the content of applications," too.

Edit: I got in! So, they mostly ask about the computer's specs, plus why you want to beta, your experience in such things... *crosses fingers to be picked*

I just saw that they kind of confirmed a beta for the PS3 version too by saying that details will be released for it at a later date. It'd be great to be able to do that too, if they let you apply for both.
