Anna, Biscuit, Malachai, Cyrus, Santiago, Rafe, Munchkin, Silver, Rafe II, and Wisteria
Santiago, in his in and out of consciousness, could hear the sounds of animals outside, one tiny voice shrieking to another about dying. Pricking his ears up, he got to his feet, giving his mate a loving nuzzle before digging himself out again.
Once he got out of the burrow, he was immediately torrented by rain. The freezing burn and numbness came back to his limbs as he looked around in the dark. A flash of lightning let him see the two creatures under a bush. Walking over to them, he didn't give them a chance to react before he picked them up gently in his teeth and put them on his back, making sure not to squish the little one on the underbelly of the ringtail. Sighing, he smiled at them. "Would you like to stay in my burrow until the storm goes over?"

Daeku & Cheo
Daeku closed his eyes and with a relieved smile, he said, "T-thank you." Things became a little fuzzy after that for him.
Cheo on the other hand witnessed what happened. The little rat child squeaked as he was raised onto the kind fox's back. "Oh please, can we?! We don't have anywhere to go!" Cheo cried.

Santiago made sure that he didn't drop his two little passengers as he made his way back to the den. Crawling back through, he felt the effects of the storm. There was ice forming in his fur and his limbs began to get numb. Taking the two little ones one by one into his mouth, he set them up into an empty space in the burrow before collapsing beside Tori.

"SANTIAGO!" Tori went to his side, trying to keep him warm. "Rein! Help me! Please!" The other fox came and lay on the other side of him, Starchaser comming to lay with them, followed by a good bit of the babes. They wanted to warm him back up, make him .. awake again.

He could hear Tori calling him, but that was about the last of his consciousness before he totally went out for a few minutes. Once the ice had melted off his fur and he felt the feeling coming back into his limbs a little, consciousness started to fade back. The first signs of movement were in his ears, twitching a little.

Sighing happily, Tori finally relaxed. The rest of the critters backed off a little, curling up against babes and themselves, giving the couple their space for the moment.
Tori nuzzled his head and licked his muzzle, tending to him little by little. " Thank you Santiago... dont be afraid."

Santiago knew there was something wrong with him before he'd even regained all consciousness. The frostbite had affected him badly, and he was afraid it was permanent. After a few moments, he opened his eyes. Shock rested in his soul as he had the horrible realization that he could only see out of one of them. The other, not that he knew, was clouded over and pale colored. The frostbite had killed the tissue and other things that made the eye work. Panicking he looked at his mate.
Another realization hit him. Would she still love him if he was half blind? Fear rose through his body as he glanced at his pups beside their mother. They were all sleeping, so they didn't see. Hurt showed on his face as he laid his head back down and closed his eyes.

With the rain finally leaving her ears, Tori rose and went to the entrance, looking out again as she sighed with relief. It had not been as bad as she had thought, and with it lasting a good long while, she was glad to see the season slowly begin to end. She dug herself out, walking around in the muck outside and sniffed the air. No signs of any more Rain.
"Tragic end to a Loving season." She sighed.
Shifting a bit, some of the babes began to whine and sqirm. They were feeling it was getting better.

Coaxing the babies back to sleep, Santiago got up and followed Hitori outside. Coming up beside her, she nuzzled her and said, "It's gonna get better from here."

" I know it will. " She turned and nuzzled him back, looking at him oddly a few seconds. She licked his face as her tail wagged, ready to return inside if needed. "Soon the kits will be grown.. and it will be you, me.. and the rest of this crazy troupe. she giggled. "And i can return to the den.. will you stay with me, or stay here.."

There were foxes, coyotes, skunks, rats, ringtailed cats... everything we going swimmingly. Spectrum,Roger,Kiruna,Loki, Mello, EpiX, and Lestat
