User ImageAilill tried really hard to make herself unnoticable. Every so often she even hid in the shadow of the hulking form of Indra beside her, but she knew she was going to be noticed. She knew it was going to happen. She, however, did not expect it so soon, and as the group of Llundari approached them she felt a sense of impending doom creep over her senses.

She swore many times inside her mind, but gave the head Llundari a respectful nod. This would not go well. She would either have to lie, to tell the truth, or tell a half lie and hope he was ignorant. She didn't like either option. She could tell him a false rank, give him a false name and be suspected for a rogue mage, give him her true name and her true rank as an outcast and be arrested or worse, but the third option was all considered with her father and what they would know of him and his affairs. Considering their race they could not know, but even that was a dangerous assumption. She decided to lie. She hated conflicts after all.

Of course, this whole aura of power he was giving off was making her sick. He reminded her of death and not in a good way. "Mailit," she said softly, the first fake name that came to her mind, her mother's name, "Commoner, and I wear these clothes because in this area, I am less likely to be hassled if I look Llundari... or by clothing anyway. I should've known better in the city, forgive me." She acted humble, as was her role, and not as her former status in society which was a noble. She tried not to let anything slip out of place from her behavior to imply she was anything but what she was pretending to be.

IN THIS BLOODY DAWN I WILL WASH MY SOUL TO CALL THE SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE

Indra Ragnar
User Image
BANDIT

Of course you are, but at least its good to see one of your kind trying to mix in with mine. You should stop by the temple on the south end of central square. I'm sure the Priests would be happy to teach you our ways, for the sake of blending in.

-He stared at her with a piercing gaze for a long minute. It was like staring into her soul, his eyes locked on hers. Indra was starting to get a little nervous at this time. No doubt this was a miniature interrogation. At least he was going unnoticed for the most part. His biggest worry was the Sindari guards at the gate. He didn't think the Llundari would make an issue like this. If they tried anything rash, at least Indra could run with the Talaxian guards and be fine. Though he didn't like the idea of running at all. He glanced over and sure enough, the Talaxians were watching closely. It almost looked like they were expecting something or at least ready just in case they were needed. That was the great thing about being Talaxian. They were everywhere and always ready for a fight.

After this long silence, the Llundari Guard Captain smiled and waved off his men. He then eyed Indra for a few moments before turning his attention back to Ailill. He seemed less business and more casual now. His eye was caught on the smaller details of Ailill's appearance. He looked at each of his men's faces and exchanged expressions. It was almost as though they were communicating without words. Perhaps they knew each other that well so as words weren't necessary in this type of situation. His men then went back to their post and he nodded to Ailill more politely-

Welcome to our city. Though for your own good I suggest you stay away from the Sindari sectors for as long as you're wearing our clothes. Llundari's eye be over you.

-He turned and walked away, but not before glancing at her again with a sinister look. He then went about his business inspecting and watching other people entering the city. Indra nudged Ailill nonchalantly and motioned to continue walking. He noticed the look and really didn't like it. Indra looked around for a moment and decided which road to walk. He took a few steps forward then turned and waited for Ailill.

User ImageAilill smiled kindly at his words, though she was masking her true suspicions from him. She kept her gaze on his when they locked eyes, but she made sure her glance was as peaceful as she could make it. She didn't want anymore trouble from these guards. She saw out of the corner of her eye Indra looking at the Talaxians. It's a good thing he's not looking at you. At least once of us knows when to keep our eyes to the ground. She thought to herself, not willing to voice her opinion in case that jerked more provocation from these Eldar.

She noticed his body language shift to a more relaxed way about things, but couldn't even remotely force herself to relax. She had to focus so if anything went wrong she'd be the one to cover their get away. He watched as he dismissed his other guards and felt at least a little better that they would be talking to each other on a more common ground. Of course he being the older and larger of the two it wasn't exactly equal grounds.

"Thank you, the warning is much appreciated," she said with a small dip of her head as a sign of respect. When he added the parting saying, she only replied a small, "And to you," instead of adding her own people's parting saying. She knew it could easily offend him. She wanted to avoid that. She caught the sinister gaze and couldn't help stare after him afterwards. It was definately a threat. She'd avoid any kind of trouble just so she wouldn't have to meet with him again. She had a feeling another meeting would be less... pleasant.

Ailill blinked in awareness as Indra nudged her slightly, and after a small pause she followed him as he looked to her. "Alright... let's get going..." she said softly, wanting to hide from all the eyes that saw her now.
