Samhain's eyes remained fixed on the door way, waiting until the nurse finally arrived. He ignored the question asked of him, knowing it would be answered as his eyes followed the nurse to Selkahr's bedside, eyes constantly on her and ignorant of the looks the harpy was throwing his way. It wasn't until she was about to curse him and snapped at the nurse that he finally looked at her, that same flat, empty expression consuming his features. Even he had to admit that her fiery spirit was impressive, but even that had its limits and, at this point, she was pushing those. Enough was enough and she would learn eventually that some times it's more beneficial to give in and put pride aside for the sake of survival. Or in this case, comfort.
He sighed and returned his eyes to the nurse, giving her the same flat stare, which was an obvious no, even though he could feel twinges creeping up on his arm and wing. He was one who didn't really practice what he preached, obviously. In his mind Selkahr would pass out again soon enough and then he could call the nurse back, once his own pain had returned, and receive treatment while keeping his pride in tact.
"Alright then, if you start to feel any just give another call." The nurse made a few marks on their charts before exiting the room. Samhain waited for what he knew was coming. There was no way she would just sit there silently and let him get away with that.

The nurse fairly sashayed out the door, in Selkahr's mind. The Harpy could have growled, snarled, and snapped, but as it stood, the morphine was already working its way into her system. She could feel the way her pain slowly receded, and the way her body began to succumb to the siren's call to sleep that the drug sang to her.
Mustering the energy, and the will, she shook her head briskly - jolting her body with pain to keep conscious with a quick jerk - and levelled her eyes upon him.
Warning. Threat. Promise. All were visible in her eyes.
"...I'll...slit your throat...in your shl--" Another shake, though she was barely able to hold in the sound of pain despite the drug that was wreaking havoc on her body. "--sleep, Samhain."
Providing she woke before him, and remembered, it would be exactly what she would do. The morphine would probably burn off quickly enough...and she vowed there would be hell to pay. Her royal purple eyes blazed, then blurred. The drug was kicking her when she was already down, and with a muffled sound of denial, her eyes finally closed and she slumped, breathing shallow from her struggle.
