Quote: Nadali was walking silently down the hall, thinking over her missions and the pressure suddenly put upon her. On one hand, it was an honor being promoted to Agent status, but on the other hand she had a lot of responsibility that jumped from once being a grunt. In the blink of an eye, she was on her way up, and she just couldn't believe it sometimes.
At least she made it faster than her twin. Sibling rivalry always seemed to be the satisfying answer.
Turning the corner, she heard her supervisors talking to a few new recruits. In the past few days, it seemed a lot of new faces were showing up in the building, some she hadn't seen before though they worked with her, and others who just entered the job.
Yawning, she patted the four pokeballs at her waist, debating asking her pikachu to come out and play. When she made it to the main lobby, she paused a second and smiled to herself, deciding to let her first and formost partner keep up with her rest.

Quote: Everybody else made having a Pokemon seem so... Easy... From day one, Max hadn't been able to get his own to obey much more than telling it to come out of its pokeball... And then that was a subjective obedience. He sighed, watching the Pikachu eat its way through a sandwich. The grunt shook his head, then reached to pet the animal. All he got was a shock, before he fell to the floor, dazed.
His hat starting to burn brought him from his momentary stupor to smack it repeatedly on the floor, not wanting to burn the place down as some strange form of celebrating making it through training. "Why, Jayanti?!"
The pikachu looked at her trainer, ears back. After a moment, she gave a sniff of indifference, going back to eating.

Quote: Nadali's eyes widened as she smelt something burning, and she suddenly picked up a new pokeball and threw it ahead of her. In a flash, a turtled form of a Wartortle appeared and looked around. After a second it turned toward its trainer with a questioning look.
"Dima, something is burning, let's check it out and be ready to drench it out...I guess you could say this is working on your aim?" She was quick to phrase the command as training, because she could see her clone pokemon get an irritated eye.
The two rushed into trhe room where Max waited, and she saw the smoke coming from the boy. But before she could tell Dima to stop, since the fire seemed to be out, the water pokemon sent a blast right toward the boy.
"Look out!"

Quote: Max only looked up just in time to get hit in the face. Knocking into the table that the Pikachu was on, he sent the rodent Pokemon tumbling. Jayanti let out an angry sound, before running around the table, cheeks crackling. Her sandwich had been lost, and whoever had caused it would pay!
Wiping the water off his face, Max made a face. "Great... Now I'm all wet, AND charred..." He heard a crackling, then noticed Jayanti. "What are you doing?" The grunt looked up, spying the other person. From their uniform, they were a higher rank... And they had a stronger Pokemon, from the looks of it. "Oh no... Jayanti, no!" Grabbing her tail, Max got a good shock. The only plus side, he figured, was that he'd just prevented himself from getting thrown from the organization.

Quote: Nadali watched with a frown at what happened, before looking to the smirking Wartortle. From where she stood, it seemed as if the clone enjoyed the show. With a sigh, she threw the pokeball and summoned Dima back to rest. She felt super bad for what she did the grunt, but took a moment to assess the situation.
"I'm sorry about that...I smelt the fire, and Dima is always quick to act when she is looking to please someone...Are you okay?" She asked softly, still keeping an eye on the Pikachu and realizing that the creature was actually a clone. That explained a lot.

Quote: Slowly sitting up, Max rubbed his face. "You'll be the end of me, Jayanti..." The look the Pikachu gave him made the grunt think she liked that idea. Looking up at the other person's voice, Max blinked. "Oh... Um... Yeah... I'm okay..." He looked at his hat, feeling his stoumach sink just a bit. There was no hope of saving it... He got up, grabbing the remains to throw it out. "Jayanti just... Didn't want to be touched..." As always... There was no pleasing the Pikachu.

Quote: Nadali looked at the creature, before nodding, "That seems to be the case with most clones. While Dima is dead set on being the strongest, Hallil hates anything to do with me..."
Slowly she inched toward Max, keeping an eye on the pikachu, before letting out a sigh. She was stronger than this, and she could deal with a finaky pokemon.
"So, who are you? Are you new?"
