fReNzi
I dug up the email i wrote them, here it is:

Hi there, my name is Lissa, im from Oakwood, Ohio. My homie showed me the story about the Juggalos, and how we're a "religious cult"? Well, i'd like to add my opinion. Im a Juggalette, i've been down with the Clowns for about 7 years now. Not all Juggalos and Juggalettes are teenagers, i know a Juggalette thats 72 yearsold, and Juggalos who are in their mid 20s, and early 30s. I would also like to add that Juggalos and ICP are NOT the latest teenage fad, ICP and our fellow Juggalos have been around for about 15 years now, and how younger children and adults are just now becomming Juggalos and Lettes after the 6th jokers card is amazing to us.

We arent part of the "normal" society. Normal people nowadays dress to impress, they wear all the latest gears, and they wear what their favorite rap artists wear, that and they dont care about people who arent in their little, "click". Juggalos and Lettes dont dress to impress anybody, most of us are scrubs with little or no money at all. And one day when i was out campin, a few juggalos came up to me and said, "WHAT UP LETTE!" And i didnt even know them, that is fresh. We're not a cult, but you may think whatever you like, its America, we know how that goes. Being down with the Clowns is a way of life, its who we are, we're not trying to be better then anybody, we're just ourselves, the underground love is what we represent. Being a Juggalo is a benefit for us, we meet people who understand us, we dont have to hide who we are, we can express and relate. I know Juggalos and Juggalettes over in Europe, and Africa, our love spreads world wide.

ICP and all of Psychopathic Records is very successful in our eyes, us looking at them and seeing how far they got being underground, with no commercials, no radio music, or MTV videos, its all underground, all on the net, its an expirement to us, most of us had it with life and we think we're nothing, or we're going to be nothing, till we look at ICP and look at what they've done, it changed the way we saw things. Like i was a very depressed person my whole life, till i saw ICP wrestling, i thought they were very entertaining, i started listening to their music, got the message, and been down ever sense. Each and every Jokers Card that they have produced has a message behind it. We follow that message because we understand it.

We're not all bad people, we're just ourselves. Most of us may look crazy, speak crazy, act crazy, but we all have a good heart. You see dumbass people stealing and fighting and moshing anywhere else, it aint just us. Oh, and umm, i kinda have a question about what you guys said in the paragraph including, "Of course the ultimate Juggalo experience is an ICP concert. In Las Vegas fans lined up hours before the start of the show. On stage the clowns are accompanied by demon-dressed creatures that help spray the audience with Faygo soda -- the preferred beverage of all Juggalos. Mosh pits and crowd surfing are standard etiquette." Does every modern Rap/Metal concert not have crowd surfing, and moshpits? We enjoy our music, we enjoy what we do and what we believe in, you cant judge a book by its cover, so why do it to us?

ICP has shown more love to their fans and family then anyother band that i know of. They organized a 3-4 day concert/hangout for their fans called The Gathering Of The Juggalos. Its a 3-4 day hangout where all of Psychopathic Records artists will be there, along with some other friends of theirs, and they'll be putting on a show. After the shows everybody hangs out, we get autographs, drink, smoke, whatever, but we do it all together. We're not a gang, we dont go around shooting people like outragous ghetto thugs, we're a family, we stick together. You wont ever be alone, you always got a homie who will tag along with whatever.

Alright, im going to explain the meaning for the violent lyrics. ICP and Psych Records use the violent lyrics to tell us about the truth, things that we've never seen or heard of before, reality scenes. For an example, in their song Halls of Illusions, they're talking about a fmily of 4, husband, wife, daughter and son who grow up not living the best life. The husband abuses his wife to the point where she cant smile because her teeth got knocked out, and their children are crackheads. Would you want to live in that situation? I wouldnt either, they used that example to show us how bad other people's lifes can be, and how much of a better life we can live.

We dont care what people think, what police say, they dont know anything about us. Our homies are like our family, they always have our backs, and everything. Oh, another thing before im done here, "Juggalo, by the way, as far as I can tell, is just a made up word. It's estimated there are more than 1500 Juggalos here in Las Vegas. Metro's gang unit is aware of the group. And while there has been some trouble in other cities, here in Las Vegas they say criminal activity associated with Juggalos has been minimal." What does that mean? You're saying that we're like one of the top CRIMINALS here? If anything, most of the Juggalos i know around here dodge and stay away from all the ignorance. We're not like other people, we're not the bad guys here, and i got another question, how do you know that the Dark Carnival is made up? You dont know that, and can you prove that every religion is made up or real? No, you cant. You believe what you want, and we'll believe what we want, we follow GOD, that is the hidden message behind the lyrics. Call us what you want, we know we're not a clownish cult, we're not a gang, we're not criminals, we're just us, JUGGALOS and JUGGALETTES and we're down with the clown for life yo.

I know this has probably been mentioned...but...

Really, alot of what makes other people call us a cult is because of our devotion to Psychopathic, the tunes, the family...etc etc.

Eh. I give two ******** what anyone else says.

Call it a cult. Whatever. It's still family to me.

=D
