Take BLM to 18, unlock subjobs and then take WHM to 37. Then do the SMN quest.

Then do the SMN quest. take one to 75 before you start summoner 3 reasons: 1) HARD to get any gear without a lvl 70+ job really and you need that money for many items 2) You wont have any avatars except carbuncle and soloing them is a b***h which leades me tooo 3) Cant get fenrir without a 70 + job (diablos from CoP and a prime fight thats 70+.. i think...)

SMN/BLM = The advantage here is a large MP pool. And, Warp. Your disadvantage.... everything else. Your spells won't be good. At 75, if you nuke, it'll be like going in a party as a 37 BLM. Please imagine that.
SMN/RDM = The advantage.... well... more HP. You have a lower MP pool if you sub RDM, and the only RDM spell you will get is Gravity and their single target Bar- spells. So, it's not good, however, it's not bad. You still get Cure spells.
SMN/WHM = The advantage is being able to do Cure I - Cure III, Curaga I - Curaga II, Protectra, Shellra, multi-target Bar- spells, basically fill in for a WHM. Your disadvantage, you're basically a WHM wannabe. Also, sometimes, you might need something like a RDM or a BRD. Just something to help out in case you run into problems. SMN/WHM is the better of the subjobs to choose because you have a lot more worth as a healer, and a DD.

It really depends on the level for each job. As you get very high with whm, you gain Raise and such, along with holy when you get high enough. Then there comes blm, which is good for nuking, all the time, only. And then RDM, which is good when, basically, you max our the levels or get to level 40 or so. Any job once beyond the realm of Jeuno is pretty well(Jeuno includes Kazham).

well in the beggining pretty much every job is even its about after lvl 15-20 when u start to have differences u know like mp boost and strong spells etc. i got my blm up to 18 then did sub quest then changed to rdm/blm then heh u shoot off from there cause everyone knows
RDM are Refresh whores and their AF is pimpin rofl
