Adara stopped, hearing a commotion. Turning to look behind her at the darkness, "What's going on bacck there?! We need to see what's at the end of this tunnel," She said, the adventurous leader coming out in her. She wanted to see what was at that tiny light beyond them. But, the walls seemed to come closer just a little bit at a time, so they may end up on their stomachs later on. There was still plenty of room, now, more than she had expected, but she felt little tidbits of room leaking away.

((Oh joy. I figured out sort of what the hell is actually going on. As such, I have roughly sketched out in my mind the levels of the house.))
"Just a new member of our merry band," replied Darrin sarcastically. The tunnel was definitely smaller than as if it was intended for a human to go through. Anything coming through here would have to be either very short, or be missing several body parts. Like a head.
"You... don't suppose there's anybody left up above, do you?"

Estelle shook her head, unsure of who else was around her. She had heard two female voices and one male voice.
"I'm not sure...I saw someone else, but I lost them a while ago..." She then realised that none of these people knew her name, nor was she aware of theirs.
"My name is Estelle..." She said in a meek voice.

"Bri," said the young woman, and then remembering, "Lady Umbria. But I think we can ignore such pleasantries, right?" she looked to the obviously noble man, hoping she hadn't revealed herself.

"Lord Darrin," he muttered, still feeling rather dazed and detached. "Pleasantries... er, yes, not really something to think about in a time like this. Danger and all that rot. Shall we move on?"

Adara was going faster then the others, as they kept pausing to get aquaintances. She sighed in a frustrated tone. She felt the cave ceiling begin to brush against her back, and she had to start crouching lower to get through. The walls were rather smooth, with still a few detachments here and there. She felt the walls, and felt a surprising warmth. "What do you think this is Darrin? It's just now starting to appear. It's not hot, just a faint flicker of warmth, like something slept here just an hour ago. Only in this spot, too... Come closer," She tried to go as far as she could so that Darrin could reach up and feel the warmth.

Aery let out a sigh as she continued to walk down the barren, dark halls of the unknown place. Her eyes adjusted to a new sheet of darkness as she ventured deeper into god knows what. She chewed on her lip as she continued her journey alone. Aery chewed on her bottom lip as a habit when she was either angry, annoyed, nervous, or just bored. In this case, she was a mix of annoyed, nervous, and bored at the same time. She had yet to run into anyone except for maybe that whiny girl who seemed to just disapear.

Darrin obligingly touched the wall. It definitely felt like the heat of a body had been there. But...
"Adara... this doesn't feel right. It's like something's been here... but it's getting warmer, not colder." He moved a step back. "The wall here is much cooler, so it's just that one spot." And then he felt the floor. "Warm as well."

Estelle bit her knuckle in fear. "What do you suppose it could be? I wouldn't doubt if the floor itself was alive...this place is just so horribly spooky. It's terrible." Estelle was really such a bloody scaredy-cat, but she was slightly proud of herself for holding together this long. She just wanted to go home, back her own comfortable bed, into the arms of her loving father.

She nodded. "I don't suppose staying still will leave us any better off than before, now, will it?" She tried to lighten the mood a bit, laughing nervously. Estelle felt the warmpth under her as well. Was there something under the rock floor? Or was the castle simply alive?

Adara shook her head and continued on. She felt around the floor, and it got less and less smooth. Like now it was just a tunnel for use, not comfort. She cautiously crawled on her knees to avoid the rocks and sediment. It seemed to get dustier, too. She then came to a very steep, steep slope downwards. She felt the first foot of it.. And it was smooth as marble. What's going on? She thought. At first she recognized it as a kind of slide, then saw a very faint light at a turn. She looked behind her. There's something here. Look over my shoulder to see. I think it's some sort of... slide. It's very smooth."

"Perhaps...whoever...or whatever is doing this...perhaps they planned us coming through here?" Estelle speculated. It would be horrible...but it was either a quick death where they had been, or a not-so-quick death where they were going. It was hard to crawl in such a cramped space with a long dress on. She tried to hike the dress up to her knees to make for better crawling, but to no avail. Her hair was mussed, and most of it in her face. Her right eye peeked out from the long, brown, tangled mess that was her hair.
