The sky was looking a little bleak today, a little to dark for the mares taste. Not that a few clouds would stop from from doing a bit of piaffe, it was something she'd hated to do in the past, but now she felt like she was getting rather lazy. So with her head collected and touching her chest, Aelah began the two step required for the piaffe. To any other horse, this would seem like the oddest thing in the world, but she was used to it. It wasn't long however, before she did get tired and completely stopped. Walking over to the little stream she'd come upon in a through a bit of travelling, Aelah extended her neck down to dip her mouth into the water. Shaking her hair once to get it out of the water without succeeding, ears continued to swivel to listen in on whatever or whomever could possibly be near by.

 Thanos walked towards a stream that he knew ran through this area. Not that he was thirsty. And even if he was, he was yet to figure out how to drink again. Thankfully the lack of thirst, hungry and sleep were more a blessing than anything. Sure if meant long hours of doing nothing some days while his herd filled their bellies on the grass. Lazy bunch of no good....huh? Well where ever that thought had been going it's long gone now. Good thing he was used to that too...for the most part at least.
As he neared the river he saw something grey up ahead. Probably another damn horse, he thought. There were so many in this area his herd would have a hard time driving them all out. He moved towards the grey blob until he could get clear view of it. When he finally saw what it was he felt sick. Uh another perfect horse. How many of those blasted things were there? "Well isn't that disgusting." War said from her perch atop Thanos' head. "Beauty is not disgusting if you know how to appreciate it." Peace told her as he sat on Thanos' back, just able to make out the mare.
"Beauty doesn't exist in this land." He told his rats as he took a few more steps towards the mare. Perhaps if things had been different he would have agreed with Peace. But it was hard to find beauty in anything when one looked as he did. He himself was nothing but a monstrosity in this world. Not that he minded all that much. In fact some days he took a bit of pleasure in scaring horses with nothing more than his looks. That at least required little to no effort on his part. Just let them see him and they did the rest.
Perhaps this one would be like those silly, easily scared mares he came across the other day. The screams they let out when they saw him, ah good times. The memory of that made him chuckle. It also impressed him that he remembered it so clearly. Although ever since he ran into that poor run down mare, Regret his memories and thoughts had been an even more jumbled mess than they previously were. For some reason she almost haunted his thoughts. It was an odd thing, but he didn't mind so much. He would seek her out again in the future and hope that that would ease his mind.

Because Aelah had only ever known dressage, she'd never seen or felt an injury. Yes a little strained ankle, eye infection, but nothing that could scar her or make her bleed. Ears swiveling to another horse approaching, she only slightly turned in it's direction. Pausing from her drinking she lifted her head slightly, nostrils flaring slightly. Was that a horse? He smelled of... She just couldn't out her mind on the word, almost something new and fresh, yet at the same time death... Where was that wild scent that the other stallion had about him? And he looked so different, it was interesting and yet still a little weird. Aelah could physically see inside of him, did other horses like him exsist... She wondered, now that she was finally out in the wild, she seemed to find something interesting everyday! And he had rats on him... Though a cat had slept on her back once, so she guessed the rats were doing the same?
" Greetings. "
Alright, so she still had her soft wispy voice, but she was regarding him with curiosity now.

Thanos stamped his foot in frustration. Stupid mare didn't run away at the sight of him. Must be loosing my touch, he thought, need to work on my scary approaches. Her voice made him shudder, it was all warm and nice. Disgusting. He shook his mane and looked at her with a critical eye. He said nothing but just stared at her with his red glowing eyes. Why didn't she run? He wanted her to. He reveled in the feeling he got when horses ran away from him. So why was this blasted mare being so annoying.
"Shouldn't you be running away by now?" He said, more of a thought put into words than anything. His half tail swished about in frustration at the pretty mare standing there.
"We should kill her now. Less horses to deal with later." War cried out.
"Kill, kill, kill. That's all you ever think about." Peace said. "Look at her, she wouldn't stand a chance again him."
"Which is why we should kill her now! An easy victim."

Perplexed at the stallions actions, Aelah lifted her head a little higher. He seemed pretty pissed at something, or someone. Was she doing something wrong? Did this water source belong to him? She remembered how the stable horses had been extremely territorial in their stalls. And the more he seemed to stare ate her with those red eyes, the more he seemed to be getting angry. Aelah swished her tail slightly disturbed.
" Should I be running? "
She didn't understand his concept of running away, what exactly was she suppose to be running away from? Him maybe? She really didn't understand, he was just another horse, granted he looked a little out of the normal standards but a equine none the less.
" What should I be running from? "

Thanos' ears flicked a bit in thought and anger. Was this mare stupid? Asking what she should be running from. He shook his head. "Of course you should be running. Be like the rest, run away." His voice dripped with anger. She must be stupid. That was definitely it. The others were smart enough to run, and sometimes he chased after them if only to scare them more. It was...fun almost. But his mare, well no she didn't seem to want to run.
"Kill her now. Spill her blood!"
"Or he could not kill her. That's always an option."
"A stupid option."
Thanos shook his head. No, first he would find out why stupid here wouldn't run. Then he would kill her. That would make both rats happy...more or less. "You should be running from me." He said after a few moments pause. "Or are you blind to what stands before you?" She could be blind, but then how would be know he was there? Well this was just getting confusing, he needed to stop thinking about everything so much.

Aelah blinked, what in the world was he talking about! Run like the rest? So other ran away from him, she was curious as to why, but she probably guessed it was his anger. Lifting her head, tucking in her chin, the mare flattened her ears. If she'd done something wrong, he could simply have told her, and now -she- was getting angry. Calling her blind didn't help either, she had great vision.
" I haven't met these others you talk about. I've barely even been here for a week! "
Aelah stabbed the ground once, huffing and whipping her tail around.
" I was raised by two leggers. "
She said matter-o-factly... Stupid wild stallions. If she though the one's at the stables had a lot of testosterone about them, this one certainly beat all of them. Stallions... She huffed again.

Thanos stamped his foot in frustration. He didn't care if she had been here a week or for her entire life. He wanted her to run! It's what he told her to do, it's what a pretty horse would do. His anger was bringing to boil. He just needed to...he took a few steps towards a tree and then swiftly slammed his head into it. Okay, he thought, that actually kinda hurt. He held this thought inside as he looked back at the mare, his eyes glowing a deep red. She was still here, that meant she wasn't just part of a cruel dream.
"Wow that was just a really stupid thing you just did there." War told the stallion, slapping him with her front paw.
"Sadly I have to agree with here, it was pretty stupid."
"Oh will you too shut up. You do nothing but cause me grief, why can't you be helpful for once!" He stared at the mare for a long time. Did she think that he cared about who raised her? No, and even if he did care he would forget all that soon enough. "Two-leggers...another waste of space on this land. We will be rid of them soon enough." Yes, first his herd will deal with the other horses like this one, and then they would move onto these so called two-leggers. And any other beast that stood in their way. Then the lands would be shaped into their vision and he could rule over all.
