ProWrestling.net is reporting that WWE star Charlie Haas asked for his release from WWE several months ago. However, as opposed to granting that release, WWE actually re-signed Haas and gave him a raise, even though he hasn't been used on TV in a long while. The belief is that Kurt Angle had something in mind for Charlie Haas in TNA, and WWE wanted to avoid having him jump ship to the competition, so they re-signed him, gave him a raise, and are basically "benching him."

Wow... That's kinda stupid, not just from WWE to raise the salary of someone they will just never use properly, but it is just as stupid from him to re-sign with them when he could totally be used rightfully elsewhere.
But it might not be so dumb from him as he's literally paid to do nothing rofl

That's stupid as hell. They're stopping his career from going anywhere because he might go to the promotion that they insist they don't feel any heat from.

Yeah, makes you think WWE cares more about TNA than they want people to think they do. 3nodding That's cause all their talent keeps jumping ship, in the past year or two we've had Angle, Booker T, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bishoff, Taz, Fatu, I'm sure there's a few others I'm forgetting. I think they already did that superhero thing with Haas recently (last year I think), could be wrong.
