Naturally, the Boy's dormitory is in a slightly greater state of disrepair than the girl's. The raging testosterone and lack of cleanliness in general allowed the exterior and interior to degrade relatively quickly. The basement rooms feature a collection of pool tables, pinball machines, a mini-restaurant, and the laundry room. Naturally, the laundry room is of in some back corner, and everything else is right near the doors where they can be seen first before the filth and grime.  Rooms are labeled Either 1 or 2 for the floor, and A through Z for the room. Shane stretched out his arms and yawned as he woke up, smiling to himself; around him, there was a relative silence. One of the best parts about being away from home! No bratty sisters' wake up calls, jumping up and down on me and screeching like a bunch of Mankeys. The young boy climbed out of bed and looked out the window at his new school. This is going to be great! No sisters, no chores, and plenty of cute girls! Of course, Shane hadn't seen any girls since he'd just arrived last night, but he was sure there would bound to be some cuties hanging around campus. After taking a moment to water the potted plants he kept on his windowsill and changing into his clothes to make himself look presentable, he grabbed his bag and headed for the cafeteria to get some breakfast, and hopefully score a conversation with one of the upperclassmen girls.

He didn't seem to recognize the boy at all... And he did look a little younger than he was... "Um, hi there," greeted Lucas politely. Eyeing the boy curiously, he asked, "Er, are you new here? I don't think I've seen you around before..."

Shane didn't seem to notice the other boy at first, but stopped when he realized there wasn't anyone else around that his comments could be directed to. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I just started here."
Shane wasn't very interested in talking to whoever this guy was. The only boy around his age Shane ever got along with was his neighbor's son, and that was only because he didn't care when Shane hit on his older sister. But back to the current situation: Shane just looked at the boy and glanced around, not very interested in chit-chatting with someone the same gender as him.

The boy seemed a little distracted and didn't seem like the talkative type though... That was fine with Lucas, since he wasn't much of a talker himself... As he moved past him and towards the dorm entrance, Lucas kindly said, "Anyway, my name's Lucas. If there's anything you ever need, feel free to ask."

Shane merely shrugged at the other boy. "Um, sure. Thanks. I'm Shane," he added the 'thanks' and the rest in after a bit of a pause. He was about to continue on, then stopped and paused for a moment. The look on his face said that he appeared to be inwardly debating with himself as to whether or not he should say something more. "Say, um... where's the cafeteria?" he asked, realizing he didn't really know which way to go.

I'm headed there too," said Lucas as he rushed inside. Quickly opening the door to his dorm, he took his bag and came right back out, locking his door as he left. "Alright, let's go." Lucas led Shane away from the dorms. "The dorms are the outermost buildings on the premises, so you'll find that basically every other building is towards the center..."

Shane decided to wait for the other boy, but was a bit impatient while waiting for Lucas to put his bag back in the dorms; after all, this was precious time Shane could've been spending hanging out with some cute upperclassmen girls. Then, while waiting for Lucas, the idea suddenly struck him. Obviously if he's an upperclassman, that must mean he has friends he can introduce me to! Of course!
When Lucas returned, Shane tried to act a bit more friendly and acted very interested in what Lucas was saying. "You really know your way around. Are you a third year?" Shane guessed.
