Infact, in the movie, he actually MAKES religion with the invention he made.
Also, the movie and concept was amazing. You need to see it.

Another good book is Keys to the Kingdom.
They are a 7 book story and 300 pages long each. ( Yeah, short. I know. )
However, the story is really good and this is the only author, besides H.P Lovecraft, that has forced me to continue reading from how good it was.
It starts out with the idea of everything being centered around another dimension but you will learn that even if it is fiction, it is still into some kind of Atheist belief.
Read the book or look it up.

Dont you love it when a christians gets mad when you say that our species evolved from primates, but they have no problem with being told they were made out of dirt and a broken rib.

To keep this thread alive, Final Fantasy 10 promoted Atheism in a way by trying to show how corruptive religion could be.

Firefly, AKA the best TV show ever. heart
Most of the main characters are atheists (with the obvious exception of the priest and the Buddhist prostitute ninja ), in particular Mal, who is quite aggressively atheistic, despite having been a devout Christian in his past.

I loved the movie, but never got around to watching the show.
Also, Year One was surprising secular. The whole movie was basically a parody of the old testament. They go so far as to say "What if there is no god?"
