There is an irrigation ditch running behind my house. The reason I do this is different in every dream, but I get in a inner tube and start traveling down the irrigation ditch. Every time the houses I encounter are the same, the ditch takes the same twists and turns (even though the houses and twists an turns do not exist in real life), and each dream I make it a little further along and find new things. That's as close as I get to having a repeating dream anyway. I doubt it means anything.

i've had recurring dreams before, but the most recent thing related to it was more of a recurring item in a dream rather than the dream itself. i can't remember at all what the dreams were before this item appearing, or afterwards (since the event in me coming upon said item seems kinda like an intermission). twice back in October, within the course of a week, mid-dream i would find myself coming upon this particular item.
(copy-pasted from where i first ranted about it, with tense changed) the recurring item was this piece of cloth that was essentially a hachimaki that i used as a hair band (i wouldn't classify it as a ribbon, because i see ribbons as more satin and shiny and this was basically a red piece of cotton). i loved it, always having it with me for if my hair started to get in the way. i lost it several years ago, and several times since then i've had parts of dreams dedicated to me finding it out of the blue in a place i never would have thought to look. knowing that this is a dream, i briefly think that maybe my subconcious mind is trying to tell me where it is, and feel excited, deciding i'll go looking for it in that place as soon as i wake up.
and then soon after i realize "crap, no, that's NOT where i lost it, this is just a stupid dream trying to mock me." i know exactly how i lost it too. i was helping my mom clean up after a gala fundraiser (which i was working coat check for), and i crawled under a table with a table cloth on it to get something for her. i was wearing said hair band that night, and since it was just wrapped around my head, it was prone to falling off without me realizing it. so it did. neither my mom, my brother or myself noticed until we were already home and the hall the gala was held at was closed (it was around midnight). i freaked because as i previously mentioned, i loved that piece of cloth. so i told my mom, that the next day she should go back there and look for it. guess what. she didn't get over there until several days later, and no one mentioned anything about finding a red piece of cloth on the floor, and if they had found it, it was assumed to be part of the decorations to be tossed. i've been kinda angry at my mother since, but i don't hold it against her since it's not completely her fault.
so it irritated me to hell that at least twice that week i had that hair band appear in a dream with me finding it when i've only had that happen a few times in the past couple years since. i don't know why it started appearing more often, and i didn't know if SOMETHING was trying to give me a sign, but i did know that i was getting very angry because i kept getting my hopes dashed.
thinking about it now, i think the reason why i dreamt about finding that hair ribbon band was because a) i thought i had found a decent replacement, but said replacement doesn't work nearly as well, and b) the event in which i lost it was coming up.

For the past year every time I went to sleep I had nightmares, always of me getting raped, and I would wake up crying, shaking and hurting.
Now I dream of finding a way to get to my boyfriend and my family disapproving of everything I do. Which is a relief from the rape dreams but still.
On rare occasions I do have nice dreams about me turning into a tiger and running around saving the day. Its ALWAYS a tiger, and I can talk. Man. Being able to run around with that much power in your body is amazing. :> I love dreams where I can run fast and jump all over, because I want to so bad, but my bad heart won't let me do that stuff. If I could I would just run everywhere because its such a cool feeling.

I constantly have very lucid nightmares. Most of them are set in the same "universe" that is they have the same characters, ideas, and seem to reference one another. A common underlying feature is the Great Darkness. It's an unspeakably evil ancient god that lives only in the most pitch black darkness. It manipulates those closest to it, and when it gets them to come to it, it either feeds on them or transforms them into servants.
Many of the dreams I have revolve around the Great Darkness and its various forms and cults.
Sometimes I hate my imagination.

@ Crim: :O woaaaaaah, that sounds so much like this story I'm writing. Except if you give into the hatred and darkness, no matter where you are in the universe, this great dark evil cloud thing can use you and turn you into his slave... and he devours planets for energy. Man I wish I could have a dream like that, it would totally help me with my story, must be hella scary though. I remember the last dream I had with something like that, the sky in my dream was a turmoil of BLACK clouds with purple lightning that illuminated the inside and out. It was crazy!
But ya... Nightmares suck so bad. ; n ;

I have so many. But I dont remember them. When Im dreaming about it, I feel like I dreamt it before, but when I wake up I usually dont remember it.
I always have the weirdest dreams. lol. I dont really have nightmares as such. It may be scary in the dream itself but when I wake up Im just like. Why did i dream of that? Im not really bothered by it at all. lol

There are a few recurring dreams I have. Usually the recurring ones are nightmares.
The one I've had most often is one in which I wake up in the middle of the night and go to turn the light on. The light doesn't turn on, so I go downstairs to tell my mom the power is out (since it's always early morning, and she works in the morning.) Then all of the doors start opening and shutting on their own. I can't get into her bedroom, and naturally it scares the crap out of me.
During last summer I had not a recurring dream, but a recurring character. He kept warning me about things, but because he was so rude I kept refusing to listen to him... But everything he said happened just how he said it would. I kind of hate him, haha.
