Deep in space was the ships that were incomeing from a unknown location. On board the captital ship was there commander. ( will add a profile when this idea is good). The commander was eager to fly over to a planet to show he was the most feared in the universe.
" commander, we are ready to go into warp ( useing the magic portals to get around) shall we proceed?" said the controler
The commander was indeed ready for his conquest of the universe. " yes head course for earth. we shall make our mark there"
" aye sir"
All the ships in the fleet powered up there drives and headed course for eath. although it be months to get there... they were all eager enough to go forward with it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know this is short but my point is that it will take a while for the invaders to get to ria. Iv read some of the profiles and sw the history of them. and this idea might indeed work for the best. It will build alot of characters and change alot too.
And who knows maybe we have the lizard people to help out?
WhaT CAN WE GAIN? 1- it will open up sparring matches in the school ( training) 2- suspenciful? 3- It allows for alot of time to get ready. 4- Those tteachers will be used too. to prepare the students. 5- its all for fun.
so please give it a chance and Pm me if you like to see it differently. But as always comment on it.
Oh. Why do we care then? And how would we receive this information? Especially if they were not yet heading to Ria?
LOL I've noticed a lot of people have been doing that. Maybe we should have made it clearer that Ria is its own planet and not just a "land" or "country" on planet Earth.
As for the whole "stopping by on Earth" idea. I think it's pretty irrelevant. Why would we care if they stop on planet Earth? Even if the event does take a while to come out (if it ever), I think coming out with a log of all the places they stopped at is pretty useless. 1) Nobody cares and 2) It's irrelevant to the main focus of the plot.
I'm also confused on how you set it up. Do we already know that these "invaders" are coming or will it be something out of the blue and be like a "surprise" attack?
  The idea of invaders is unreasonable, no offense.
Ria, from description, appears to be a planetary object of relatively small mass and a high concentration of incredibly powerful people. In other words -- a super-society.
Wanting to invade it in the first place is like spending a million bucks to buy a penny. Even if there's someone in Ria that is specifically targeted, due to the amount of resulting casualties, it just really isn't worth it.
Suppose that there IS no reason except to pillage and ruin. In that case, information would be so well-relayed with a bloodtrail of past-pillaged areas that an evacuation would have been scheduled long beforehand and proper defense precautions set.
Furthermore, the idea of Ria High School leans more towards a general calm. Such an environment allows for belligerents to be belligerent and pacifists to be pacifist, thus satisfying the common need of all Rians. To impose an invasion of Ria puts all those uninterested into the battlefield.
Perhaps an area-focused skirmish is reasonable (that's been done before) but why would they only invade a remote area when there are better places to focus on? Such an event cannot be scheduled accordingly alongside the theme of 'invasion.'
All in all, I'm quite against this 'invasion' idea.
I'm with Riyo on this; Ria is pretty much a meeting place for characters from all walks of life. For somebody to invade it, they'd either need to have a massive grudge against somebody teaching at Ria, or a need to destroy it; for obvious reasons, we won't let the latter happen, and if somebody had done something big enough to get Ria invaded, they would be aware of it to a degree that they could warn people to leave upon finding out people were coming for them.
Overall, the event doesn't seem very well thought-out. You're lacking key elements in the reasoning behind going after Ria to begin with, and besides that, you haven't really been here long enough to understand the amount of time that actually gets PUT IN to making a decent event that is easy to participate in(Go take a look at all the stuff that went into making the Holiday '09 event!). As was said, not everyone is great at playing out fight sequences, and some characters people play don't have the knack to fight(more specifically, 'unpowered' people). And some characters wouldn't even waste their time fighting! They would just leave.(why get involved in what is supposed to be a personal grudge against someone at Ria if you simply avoid being there when it happens? You need participants for an event, so forcing them to be a part of it kinda defeats the purpose of giving out a star, right?)
You have to consider that an event has to be an equal oppurtunity for everyone to get a star and develop their character. 'Nuff said.
To answer all of these things will be a pain... but here it goes:
1- There is a key importance for them to going to earth is that its were most of the story will happen. A key character will be introduced there that is important to the attack. and no.. this attack will not be known throughout ria. I will say that yes.. there will be a targeted person.
2- This will takes months to plan it out... I gave you the basic things that may or may not happen. so please give me time to think of it all. I will give you reasoning and all of the important stuff as i devlope it.
3- As i stated before it is and example of the Idea I am thinking of. I do love your thoughts... and yes I have experiance of planning events. I was a former guild leader.
So again ty for your feedback.
Earth doesn't matter. Simple as that. Even if a so-called 'key-character' is introduced there, we have no reason to care. For most Rians, Earth means nothing to them. As for the targeted person: they would send an assassin, or a small troupe, not an army, to take out a singular entity. It's simply not plausible.
If it will take months, and you need time to develop it, then develop it before you present it to us. Otherwise we'll just point out what's missing and shut it down.
Like Gin, Riyo, and Tiff said, there is no basis for this to become a guild-wide event. It's not plausible, and even if it was, very few people would care to get involved.
Plus we've already done an invasion. Repeats are no fun.
Personally I'd scrap this idea and go back to the drawing board, Kane.
