"Oh, I see," Vergil smiled as Niyana measured him. "That would be nice. Stiff isn't so nice."

"Don't you worry," Niyana assured him, "I'll make sure you have some clothes that aren't stiff at all. But I'd like you to promise me one thing in return."

Vergil blinked at her. "Yes?"

She tried not to smile. "Take a bath before you put them on?"

Vergil looked down at himself and sniffed himself again. "I don't smell bad, do I?" he asked in a hurt tone.

Niyana held out one hand to him. "Smell me."

Vergil did as he was asked, then smelled his own hand, and he wrinkled his nose and shook his head. "Yeah ... yeah, I need a bath," he agreed. He turned to Cindy. "Mother, should I take a bath right away? Or should I wait until I have some new clothes so that I have something else to wear when I'm clean and then my clothes can get washed?"

"Yeah, it's a bit cold to run around with nothing on," Vergil mused as Niyana finished up with his measurements. "Better wait until I have something else to put on. Because you know, if I just put this on again, I'll just smell all over again."

"Very wise," Niyana giggled, putting her tape to the side. She tore her piece of paper in half and handed half to Cindy. "Here. I'll have a set of clothes and some pajamas for him by tonight. I'll leave the rest to you."

"They'll be glad to see you," Niyana replied warmly. "I'll see you later then. Good bye, Cindy. Good bye, Vergil."

Vergil waved and snuggled back into Cindy's arms. "See you later!" he grinned.

Home ... Vergil thought about that word with a smile and he snuggled into Cindy's arms. He had never been able to use that word before, and it was something that he thought he would really like to get used to.

"Home," he murmured dreamily.
