Sorry guys, I don't have an answer to that one. I don't know what would motivate me to fight. There is so much ugly stuff that goes on in the world today that I am sort of numbed out by it, not willing to fight a war over it.

EDIT: I guess I would fight if someone made the first move and was invading my town. I would fight then.

I would fight a country that I think has hidden nuclear weapons.

1. If the US was invaded by a foreign power and subsequently declared war on that power.

2. If one of the US' allies (Britain, Japan, arguably France) was invaded/attacked by a foreign power, and the US either declared war or sent troops to assist.

3. If an unstable/questionably motivated country (read: North Korea, Iran) developed/used/had clear evidence of intent to use nuclear/biological weapons.

Basically, I'd join up if we were in an active state of war and being threatened by some outside force, or if there was just cause for the US to get troops involved somewhere else. If I'd been of age for the Gulf War or for some of the police actions in Eastern Europe I probably would have enlisted. I support the troops we have on the ground now, but the wars we're currently involved with are bullshit.

I would fight if my country or allies were invaded first. Also, if I believed that my enemies truly deserved death (such as, just because you're against my country doesn't mean that you deserve to die).

Also, I'd fight in a rebellion. Less of my views of America and more of my fascination of rebellions.
