Shinya was not pleased. She huffed, watching as her breath exhaled in a cloud of vapor, drifting up. She hated this place....it was so cold! Sure, snow and snowballs were fun, but hot damn! Why hadn't they'd stayed home by the nice hot fire, where it wasn't so cold? A glare was shot at her shorter companion, followed by another huff. This was her fault. It had been her idea to come out here.

Boheme either didn't notice her companion's glare, or simply didn't care. She drew the shawl she'd worn closer around her, kneeling by a tuft of ivory colored foliage that poked through the blanket of snow. She brushed some of the snow away, uncovering and revealing more of the bush. She smiled lightly; this is what they were here for. Berries. Sweet, delicious berries. True, they had come a long way from "home" just for a basketful or two of fruit, but in her mind, it made perfect sense. After all, their journey had been quite insightful; she'd learned just how much her darker companion could complain. Besides, travel was good for the soul, no?

Shinya's glare intensified as the reason they were here hit her. "Berries? We came....all the way out here....for something THAT GROWS RIGHT BY HOME?!?" It was a wonder snow didn't fall from the trees with how loud the girl yelled.

"Now, now, no need to raise your voice." Boheme said sweetly, not looking up at her companion as she busied herself with picking the small fruits. "These don't grow near us, Shinya. Trust me, you'll like them." A small smile was flashed in the others direction.

If they hadn't been so entangled in complaining, yelling, and berry-picking, they might have noticed the oncoming sound of footsteps crunching in the snow.
