Has anyone encounter the orb release event? I've been hitting those orbs but after the end of the event, I get nothing! What should I have done to get the orbs?

Well, there's either one of two problems that I potentially see here...
First, you might need to lower your CL if the event isn't allowing you to collect the orbs that you find. I've run into this dilemma a couples times as well, since the events are oftentimes active in areas for which my current level is too high.
Second, the problem might be merely a matter of interpretation. If you're question is referring to the orb event (where you need to find, attack, and collect orbs), then there isn't any additional bonus at the end of the event. You should be getting credit for the orbs that you collect when you attack each one, but there aren't additional orbs awarded after the event ends.
If, however, you aren't even getting credit for the orbs that you intially collect during the event, then my answer would be to report this as a glitch to the developers.
