I sat there like this D: the entire time. Then in the end all I could think was
"OMG Misa dosent even remember being the second Kira and now Light is dead and now Ryuk is gona get deprived of his apples! NOOO!!"
I wish Near died instead. >:/

I never thought Light was a very good guy to begin with... his idea of being the god of a new world was very Hitler-esque scream ... plus he went on my naughty list after he... sniff... killed L!! crying

lights death in the anime was okay, but his death in the manga was better.

IMHO, Light knew the eventual outcome would be death. Even if he became God of the new world, he was mortal. Death was inevitable. At least die with some damn dignity.
