FOREWORD
Hey umm just to warn you i'm sorta new at this whole thing. I ask that you please excuse any typos, spelling eras, or other grammatical mistakes (How I ended up in college level english while in highschool, i'll never know sweatdrop ). This is a book i've been working on for some years now, since i discoverd that I had a very, shall we say colorful immagination. It is still a works in prgress, critiques and ideas are helpful, especially in regards to the title. It has come to my attenttion that the title I choose has been used before and so I am looking for a new name that suits, and have thus far been unsuccesful. My world is one of fantesy fiction and always has been, I've been told I have a hand at mystery but have never tried. This book is based in a faire world, it has three main races (Elven, Human, Dwarven...go figure huh) and an uncountable number of other races and sub-races that play smaller parts in the story. Each race is based on a culture we see today (Elves are Japanese. Humans are Native American. Dwarves are Russian.) The arrangment of these races are not ment to be predjudice in any way I just thought it would be an interesting idea to play with. Other then that I suppose I should say that alot of my races and people are undergoing serrious development and background work. My world has no set religion because at this point i'm scared to put one in, (any ideas on this are appreciated). Even though my book is based in a time were drinking, smokeing and swearing were commonplace you will find that none of my main charecters drink or smoke, and tend to refrain from swearing except on occasinal happenstance. I am curently seeking out not only crtiques fro fellow writers but also an editor (I can''t spell to save my life.) I ask that you post your comments in regards to the story ( Comments, critques, etc.) In the thread I create for it, this all to refrain from breaking the flow of the story. Sometimes it is hard for me to get to a computer so posts may be short or far between, please be patient more will be added when I can reach a computer. Also, I would ask you to please be polite and respectful and above all honest in your comments so as to provide a positive environment. Any help is greatly appreciated, if you see a good oppertunity to insert an interesting twist into the story go ahead and feel free to do so, but please PM ME FIRST. Thank you for listening to my rant and without further ado I present to you, THE DRAGON KING *bows*.
WRITERS WINDOW : a look into the life of the writer....
AMongst many things Jedi enjoys anything related to the Martial Arts, as well as the cultures from which the Martial Arts originated. She studys sign language and hopes to some day become a interpreture, and earn her dan or teaching ability in the Martial Arts. Also, Jedi enjoys to laugh, have fun, be random, try new things and learn new things. Of course Jedi has a passion for all things literature, she has since she was knee high to a toadstool, she enjoys books that make you feel, think, and belive she is in the story. Her favorite authors include Dan Brown, Elizabeth Haydon, Naomi Kritzer, and various others. She developed a liking for writing at the ripe age of twelve when she started writing her current story the Dragon King, currently still being run through the mill. Jedi is very athletic, she enjoys sports, and geting out, above all else she enjoys the Martial Arts, next in line is Repelling.

Raven Twayblade was siting at her desk in the corner of her small room in the east wing of Kryson place, a quill scratching rapidly over some bit of important paper work. Her jet black hair shimmered in the dim lighting of the room, as she shook a thought from her already overcrowded mind. But the thought returned insistantly, refusing to not be acknowledged. The fact that she may have finnaly come to some conclusions about the whereabouts of her parents excited her. Wel atthe same time filled her with dread, her parents had abbandoned her to die on the streets, and for years she could have cared less aboout were they were or what they were doing, caring only about survival. Through the years her street life had taught her that her parents had probablly abandoned her for a good reason.perhapps because they were to poor to afford new clothes or a good home for her. Now as a officer in one of the most elite military units in the human kingdom, the Special Guardsmen, she desired to find her parents and give them the life they never knew. But then again what if her guess was wrong, what if her parents hadn't abbandoned her to lack of money or home, what if they just had? Was there something wrong with her? A sudden crash jerked her from her musings and she looked up. Her door once locked now swung in it's fram by the hinges a breathless page standing in the light the streamed through blinding teh young Capitan. "Capitan! We are under attack!" He panted, she was on her feet before the words left his mouth, grabing her sword belt, she ran past him, belting it on.

She sprinted down the halls, vaulting over the dead bodies that blocked her path, her mind raced at an incrediable speed, 'How could they have possibly made it this far?' she thought as she hurled around a turn. She enetered a long stretch hall that faced the main courtyard the sounds of battle and the smell of death assulted her senses and she raised her sleeve to cover her nose and mouth. Another sharp left brought her almost face to face with the main entrance of teh keep, once, trice, thrice she brought her sword down on the heavy wood of the door. "Open up!" She yelled, glancing over her shoulder, teh enemy was pushing the home guard units back, archers rained their arows down apon teh thick hided enemy doing more harm then help. The door opened beneath her shoulder and she slid inside, helping the young special guardsmen that had opned the door to slid the bar back into place. She walked quickly across the floor to teh circle of elite guards that surrounded the king. Each of teh men and women in that circle had been chossen for there skill in a weapon. Why she had been choosen was still, to this day, beyond Raven's comprehension. "ABout time you get here!" her best friend and teh king's third special guardsmen, Tigereye Stearn's yelled, jerking her from her reverie. "How are we doing?" Raven demanded, ignoring her sarcastic comment. "Depends on what you classify as good?" Tia responded, her brown eyes, stared into Raven's emrald green ones. "Do we have reinforcement's coming?" raven questioned, drawing her sword and takingher place as teh king's second guardsmen. "Not exactly, on emessenger got by there lines and is riding on teh fastest horse available towards the border, I serch of an Elven Striker Squad unit that might be out on maneuvers. " Why look for what you can't see?" Raven demanded, refering to the most elite of Elven militarty units known as teh Striker Squad.
